Really good food and attentive service in this "country" style diner in an historic building in downtown Stockton. Skip the crowded streets and high prices of touristy Galena and stop at Stella's in Stockton instead. You won't be sorry!

Our first time at Stella's in Stockton, and it was very good. We went for their Easter buffet, and they had a nice assortment of traditional breakfast items, including omelets made to order right in the buffet line, plus prime rib and ham offerings. A good variety of dessert options ensured that nobody left hungry!

The food was ok. Nothing fantastic but definitely not bad either. I didn't know that sunday mornings was buffet only. The staff was decent. Overall, just a fair experience. Nothing making me want to come back.

Got the suggestion to break fast at Stella's from the proprietor at Nature's Treasures, Woodbine. This BYOB establishment was excellent. Five Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. The wait staff was great, knew what they were doing, did it well. & courteously. The food🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 again. The restaurant was full a good sign, service fast and attentive, and very inexpensive! Quaint & darling town too.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 overall.

Every time we go there, the service is horrible and the food is only okay compared to what they charge for it. Ordering to go isn't any better, I was told 25 mins and went to pick up my food, they forgot to give it to the kitchen and I still waited another 45 mins for it. We've eaten here several times as we're aware that people have off days but this will be our last time here. We sat for 15 minutes before anyone came to our table to give us menus and another 15 to actually get our drinks, a coffee and an apple juice. I had to go ask for a spoon to stir my coffee and there's only 4 tables here, 2 of them are already done and just waiting for their bill. Now we've been here for an hour and the server just told us that the kitchen just started our order because they didn't get it. Food finally came, had to ask for silverware again. Again, food is okay but this is our last time here.

Don't pass through without stopping!
What a great place! I love where this place is located! Vintage original downtown building! The food was amazing and the staff top notch.

We guessed that the owners exercised good ole family values with putting the kids to work! Or they just all get along like family! Everybody was small town friendly with big town food quality! Homemade meals, everything on the menu looked tasty!

Went for breakfast on our way home to Dubuque so glad we choose to turn left a couple of blocks off RT 20.

Dont pass it up, well worth stopping in for an amazing meal served by amazing people!

The omelets are yummy! Dont forget to as for cheese covered hash browns!

This is a lovely little place that feels like part coffee shop, part restaurant. The menu is on the smaller side and the establishment isn't open for dinner. The food is good and most things are truly home made in house. Which is a nice change. The service can be a bit on slow side. Though they are never rude, quite the opposite actually. A little patience will pay off in the end. The breakfast is great here and is worth it, the lunch however is simply on the average side.

I give you a 2 bc its cute. Service was nonexistant. We walked in not one of the 3 people behind the counter greeted us. I literally had to ask if we seat ourselves. We sat at a table for 15 minutes with no service, no coffee, no water, a hi?? We left. Too bad because it looks like others have had a great experience and we were hoping for the same.

Found this little gem after a weekend in Dubuque.
I ordered a make your own omelet and my partner ordered the blt with egg. We also had a cup of tomato basil soup, bread pudding, and a cinnamon bun (to go). Stella herself sat us in her special booth. Long and short, food was excellent, the bread pudding was beyond delicious, and the service was very friendly.

My advice, make it a point to stop in and support this family owned business (single father of five due to Stella’s mom passing).

The waitress I had was very friendly and curtious. I had their skirt steak sandwich. It was incredible. Very tender and the carmelized onions in it put it over the top. It is a well recommended place. If you get a chance and driving through Stockton stop in. You will not be disappointed.
