Kava Diem

Great coffee! Got this before the Hops for Hope run. Not a huge fan but had been going to the Starbucks, but it closed down and I am glad! Really enjoyed this place will definitely go back!

Beautiful location with friendly staff. Organic is, of course, good for us and for the planet. However the food here is pricey and unpredictable. We’ve eaten here 3 times. The beet avocado toast was creative and unusual, and delicious. The coffee is (pretty) good. I’ve had the American breakfast burrito twice and it’s overpriced and mediocre. (If there were more choices I’d have ordered something else.) The chocolate croissant we had this morning was a total disaster. It looked beautiful but was actually tough to chew. Imagine not wanting to finish a chocolate croissant- I know, right?!

Whatever roast they had going for the Americano I ordered was incredible. Fruity, nutty, well roasted but not burnt. Nice staff too (pay them more, idk what they're getting paid but give them more or else)

Kava Diem was one of my favorite places, so I advised it to many people around me. However, compared to the previous years, the quality changed a lot. Last time, the coffee tested really bad. Another issue is the workers. Young employees are still friendly and professional, but I can not say the same thing for the other lady.
In general, the inside of the building is unique and beautiful with a lovely river view. I hope it will catch the same quality as it did before.

Very nice, unique place. Coffee and food there are outstanding. Location is amazing, right next to the Fox river, where you can enjoy wonderful view. Interior design is very intriguing, a lot of different rooms, comfortable chairs, fireplace and even big soft swing, everything made for you to feel warmth and comfort of this great coffee place.

I watched a video from Dr. Lauren Fitz at Larimar Med taking about bulletproof coffee.
It peeked my interest so I went to Kava Diem to try it out. I brought my teen daughter as well. From the minute we walked in, the staff was so friendly and super helpful at explaining the bulletproof coffee as well as helping my daughter pick out her drink. They customized the drink to her liking and we even ordered breakfast to go after their suggestions... it was Amazing!!! Go check out this cute coffee shop by the river!!!!

Kava Diem is great. Beautifully located on the Fox River in downtown St. Charles. It's an organic cafe offering an array of freshly prepared meals and drinks. It's had a great energy for studying, working or just spending time with friends. Highly recommended!

I love this place, but please wash the children’s play area! It’s absolutely filthy all the toys are sticky and it’s been that way for the last two years. I don’t think it’s ever been sanitized.

The space in the back is amazing! Great to relax and get some work done! Drink was great! I had the Spicy Hotel Chocolate and it was made perfectly! Can't wait to try their food items! Owners were super nice! Support this wonderful coffee shop!
