Kava Diem

Took our order on Toast then called twice to say they were out of replacement items. Fourty minutes past the expected time against my advice they gave our food to someone else who immediately came back complaining she was given the wrong food. At that point I asked for a refund which was denied. Management was called and the issue was blamed on a new chef. I questioned why their was not a manager on site with a brand new chef. Refund was again refused. Wrote my name down and left without any food, was told the manager may call me back on Tuesday.

I have always loved kava diem because of the ambiance and decent coffee. Unfortunately, recently my experience has been less positive. The food is okay, overpriced for sure. The thing that really deters me from coming back is the workers. The older blond woman who took my order was extremely rude and disrespectful, I don’t want to go back simply because I know she will likely take my order.

This place is amazing and beautiful but we really were angry and upset when the food came and hour and 10 minutes after we ordered it 😓, we are visiting from out of town and got frustrated with the time wasted, they apologized but they should have told us that they are short Staffed in advance so we can decide

I like the place alot. The coffee always seems a bit off. I have not tried the food yet.

Very cool and cozy place with river view. Great coffee and good selection of breakfast and lunch items. They even have a kids corner with small table and some toys.

Setting is fantastic, very cozy yet modern. Food surpassed expectations, all very fresh & tasted great. Service was good, staff was very polite. Prices are a bit on the higher side for food but I still felt the value was worth it for the entire experience. Will absolutely return in the future.

Today was my 3rd visit. A few weeks ago, a friend and I came here for lunch. We loved it. Tasty food, lovely outdoor seating, gracious staff. Shortly thereafter, I brought my husband here for breakfast. We were about to order when we were told the chef hadn’t yet arrived (but would be here “any minute”). Since I had an appointment that morning, I didn’t want to chance it; we went elsewhere to dine. Today, we tried again. We had a scrumptious egg sandwich with veggies. Also, a hefty blueberry muffin. Both were delicious! However, the coffee was mediocre at best —and cost me over $4.00. For less than that, I’ll stop at Dunkin or even Starbucks and have a much better brew. Great food and good service, but pass on the coffee.

Great food and coffee, love the healthy organic aspect. Hard to find a winning combo like this.
