Lollie's Cafe

We travelled to Sparta from California by way of St Louis to see the National Trap and Skeet Hall of Fame and happened upon Lollies. What a find! Absolutely fantastic restaurant with lots of variety and great prices. I'm just a regular guy and no food critic but I have sampled fare throughout the USA and world. Some of the best Midwest fare I've had. What did I have? Liver and onions was my choice and it was cooked to perfection.

It's hit or miss on the service. 95% of the time the food is good. If you like chicken gizzards, it's the only place to get them. However, they are parboiled prior to being fried, makes them super soft...not great

This is my husbands review......”The worst service I have ever had at any restaurant in my life. If I was in charge our waiter who said....... he was not a waiter he gets paid hourly.........would have been fired on the spot. I do not recommend this place and I will never I repeat never be back”. I have to say that I was very upset seeings how we came there for my Mother’s Day lunch. The manager made things right concerning our food but the waiter/busboy was a disgrace to ALL waiters/waitresses anywhere. Sad sad sad day at this establishment. I will be going in to talk to the owner/manager concerning our experience today. We will be going to tiff‘s Café in Marissa Illinois from now on.

My family and I have been to Lollie's alot as we love the food and the quiet! The last time we went in I was shocked to see a child in 3rd grade taking people order and delivering drinks to people table.. it was a bit frustrating when you work with children daily and want to have a relaxing dinner with your family only to be met by a very young child....I understand that parents need to work but having the child waiting on tables isn't ok and very off putting to people just wanting to relax.

Great food, service was ok.

Visited a second time, service was great food was great. My family of 5 had a great dinner for less than 30 bucks. Cant beat it. Changing to 5 stars from 4

Food is good. Prices are good. Serving sizes are large ... Larger than they need to be. Good family atmosphere. Lots of menu choices. Service was fine. Good stick-to-the-ribs food.

Great food, great service! The staff are super friendly, and the food is done quick and is high quality!

Prices good. Atmosphere ok. Never got my coffee. Waitress had way too much perfume on and I had my enhaler and epipen nearby, just in case.
