Food was really good we had the pork sandwich. Needed to be pounded down a little more but it was Easter Sunday so I wasn’t expecting too much.

This place is a cozy establishment with a semi Southern feel. You can bring your children or just a quiet date. There is a generous soup/salad buffet and many menu options. Fried chicken, steak, pork chops, portobello mushroom fries, cucumber salad, salmon are just a few. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. At the end of your meal they will bring a tray of delicious cheesecakes and other desserts for your choosing. They also have another room to the side where larger parties can be hosted. I would also like to add that while every visit I have had, the atmosphere has been relatively quiet, there is a room connected to the main seating area that might be able to be used for our friends who may be more sensitive to lots of sound. Next time I visit I will check out the gluten free and allergy sensitive options then update accordingly. :)

FYI: this was a few months ago, realized I forgot to post it lol
***gave two stars over one solely because our waitress was super sweet and polite
My mom and I were on a break after a long photoshoot (we live over 2 hours away) and decided to give this place a try since it had a 4.5 star rating. We were greeted by what looked to be a manager/owner who was polite and sat us before our waitress came to welcome us shortly after. The polite staff are the only reason I’m giving this place 2 stars, because it would’ve been 1 if I was solely grading the food. I ordered the Sierra chicken sandwich end my mom ordered the cod special. The waitress asked if we wanted bread which we of course said yes and was quickly brought back a basket. I was expecting some sort of rolls or loaf but it was literally...3 slices of white bread, like from a bag - NO JOKE. We thought this was quite odd, but brushed it off since we were super hungry and excited for our food. When it came, my mom was in shock at how small her pieces of cod were. A mere two bites in each piece, and the special was $10 - for two tiny cod nuggets. I proceeded to dig into my meal, as it looked pretty good and I was starving. The chicken wasn’t terrible, but tasted as if it was a grilled piece from a freezer. It had that weird smell that typically comes from chicken that had been from a box meal and then gets heated up in the microwave.

Dessert was really great as well as the food. Under new management. Excellent.

We're there after attending a funeral. Not much to say, food good, service adequate.

Good for a cheap meal. Haven’t been there in many years, and was looking forward to getting the famous horseshoe again, but was underwhelmed by the flavor. Pretty disappointed, used to be a great place.

Neat but nice restaurant on route 66. Very nice menu and wonderful desserts. It is not a fast food /eat on the run restaurant.

Always delicious! If you're traveling Historic 66, be sure to stop here and let them know. The staff is very welcoming.

We ordered the prime rib, my husband's was great. Mine had to be sent back as it was burnt, but another was sent and was a lot better.
