Great food, great prices, great staff! Ariston is an Americana time capsule.

The atmosphere of this restaurant and the waitress who served the party I was with are great. However, the fries I ordered with the tilapia meal special seemed to be too few and many of them were overcooked. I also understand that another customer in my party ordered a catfish meal he discovered was bone-in without any prior indication of bones in it with the the menu description. Because the bones made the fish too difficult to eat, he attempted to discuss the situation with management but was reportedly ignored, making me feel that it would be pointless to try to resolve the situation regarding my fries. The restaurant might have enough satisfied customers and good reviews to not take customer concerns seriously, but customers who support an establishment should at least be allowed to speak with its management. I hope future customers are able to have their voices heard at the Ariston when needed.

Great food, fantastic service, super clean, reasonably priced.

This is the Blue Hair Cafe. The average age was about 65 or oldery. This is the quintessential Route 66 type diner.
It has an average salad bar. The menu has number of traditional items but there are some interesting menu choices. My wife had one deep fried Portobello Slices with a side Salad. I ordered fried Chicken wings and a cup of Chili. She came back to inform me they were out of Chicken wings. I then ordered the Fish Sandwich but they were out of that also. I decided on a bowl of Chili. It was OK.

If I could leave no stars I would. We came in with family to eat, we all ordered various items from the menu. To start, food was okay I’ve had better. My boyfriends fish had bones in it, my sandwich had a very long hair in it, and then when asked to make our ticket right because we didn’t eat it, they refused. Needless to say. We will not be back and do not recommend.

Stop here whenever we are traveling in the area. Usually eat and get carryout for fabulous desserts.

Ordered a $24 bottle of wine. They brought instead a $34 bottle, which we didn't recognize at first. Mentioned to waitress as we were drinking our first glass. Asked for adjustment. With Bill, no adjustment, so instead of making waves, we paid the higher price. If we eat here in the future, and order wine, we definitely will pay greater attention to what is brought us. Made a good experience into a sad experience.

We were so excited to visit this historic spot. Now, I’m left wondering how it’s stayed open for so long because…ewh.
Everyone’s food was bland. One member of our party had fish with bones in it. There was a long curly hair (thank heavens it wasn’t a short curly) in another person’s sandwich. One dish was served completely cold.
A set of “American fries” were soggy and undercooked. The potato “soup” looked like boiled potatoes with a little extra water poured in. The clam chowder wasn’t as flavorful as Campbell’s.
When a discount was requested on the fish and hair ticket, none was granted.
One positive: the salad bar was decent and they had a nice range of those little crunchy breadsticks the size of crackers. The desserts looked amazing but after everything else, we didn’t want to risk it.
We’re travelers who love local spots and always try to avoid chains. We also know what to expect at diners and weren’t looking for fine cuisine. What we did find: overpriced, subpar, soggy, flavorless, cold food and that intestinal feeling you get when you know you’re going to regret your food choices.

We liked it because it was a Quiet Relaxing Place to enjoy a Conversation but ...........the Food was not that Great or Fresh. Salad looked at its end. The Buffet was overpriced and there was little to choose from. Never EVER EVER Again.

A good dining experience and a historic part of Route 66. Food is pretty good. Recommend desert. Prices are cheaper than any chain restaurant for sure.
