This place is a nice "home grown" kind of a place. Atmosphere is warm, but a little cramped. Not to their own fault, but always busy and just not quite enough staff. Food is absolutely amazing though and the wait time is quick. Always a choice to go to for breakfest.

We have visited Jubelt's a handful of times while passing through for breakfast and had a great experience so we decided to invite some family to meet for lunch (table of 5). We arrived around 11:45am and the place was packed, nothing uncommon as it's very popular! We found a table, grabbed a menu for a look, then jumped in line to order. We placed the order at 12pm and were told 45 min as they are busy. We understood and were fine with this. We placed a 20% tip at the time of ordering. We ordered an appetizer as they typically come out before your meal thinking maybe this would come out before the 45 min mark. Even if it didn't that would be fine, but still before the food. While we waited we watched table after table finish up and leave. Many of these tables of 2 came in after we did and had the same dishes we ordered. The couple beside us even apologized to us that they had come in, eaten, and were leaving while we hadn't seen a plate. After 50 minutes of waiting we went to check in and see how the order was coming. We also felt the app was going to come with the food so we asked, if it hadn't been made, could we please take it off of the order. We were told the food was done and they were going to bring it out. Great! The food arrived and only one of the 5 plates were warm. A hot ham & cheese was cold, the appetizer was cold, the burger with extra toppings ordered only had cheese. We took it for what it was and ate. When we finished we asked if we could speak to a manager. A supervisor came to our table and had no remorse since we were told we would have a long wait. The wait was not the issue. The issue is waiting, then the food coming out cold. We simply wanted our tip back as we felt it was not deserved, 1 by the service we experienced and 2 by the fact that there really is no one servicing you other than bringing out your food. We understood this going in. The supervisor sent the owner to talk to us. Not once was "sorry" said. We were told we came in when it was busy (we found a table right away). Our fryers are down and we had to bring some from home (Okay, that's fine, maybe mention this when we order a fried appetizer and other fried items. The food was fried in the end, but still came out cold.) We don't bring appetizers early because we don't wait tables (yet they brought our meals to us...). When we said we just wanted the tip back the owner said it's fine, I'll pay the girls myself (Who am I tipping?? We stood in line for our own refills. Not only were we never told sorry for the inconvenience, but now we're the bad guys who are not paying YOUR employees who don't wait tables?) In the same breathe we were told we don't have to put a tip when we order (We understood this, but it does ask and we felt like providing one at the time. After the service we didn't feel it was warranted). As another reviewer mentioned, this felt like something they are used to doing and they truly didn't care that we had a poor experience. The locals may understand how this place works, but someone off the interstate who orders an appetizer is probably going to expect it before the food as the name implies. The owner went back to doing her thing and had someone refund the tip. Before walking out one of the girls did hand us a box of cookies and she said she was sorry. It really said a lot that this girl felt for us, while the owner had no care in the world. It's possible the owner told her to give us the box, but it was never mentioned in front of us. We finally left 2 hours later.
I don't write this review to scare anyone away or be mean, but to help the restaurant learn what customers are experiencing and to hopefully improve. 4 of our 5 experiences have been fine.

This place is a Gem!! It's been here over a century and it is fascinating. The food tastes like grandma made it!!! The baked goods are to die for!!! And the prices are so reasonable. I can't believe I waited so long to eat here. I can't recommend it enough!! Go there now!! Order one of everything!! Go!!

Leaving a low score so people see this. Maybe make sure your staff aren't horrid to customers. I drove an hour to come get an order that was out of half of it. Not at all contacted to tell me hey we are out of this or that. So, when got there staff was super rude about it and I was upset yes but being a holes about it makes you lose business and a long time customer and family of customers you now have lost because your staff needs manners!! A better donut shop will come where people with manners .. couldnt even offer a discount just money back. Really?? Are you going to pay my 2 hours trip gas also??

What a great place to find!! Both the food and pastries are perfect. The menu is huge with anything you could want on it. Plus, knowing it has been there forever in the same family speaks highly on my list. I'll be stopping to eat there everytime I am in the area. I would be tempted to drive from Tulsa there to just eat there!!!

Excellent spot and great pies. The only complaint is that the place is always full of customers, but that is for a very good reason... Call ahead and give good notice for a take out order and they'll greatly appreciate it!

We were excited to visit. We were very disappointed with the food. It was okay. I didn't buy any bakery because it did not look appealing in the showcase 😕. That is what out group was excited about and we were let down.

I stopped here with my family after a day of shopping in St. Louis, MO. We were picking up some bakery treats. Great selection even for this time of night, around 5:30pm. Took a few minutes for the four of us to decide and make our selection. Sales person really nice and I have to say somewhat truthful (haha) when I asked about the coffee. He said I don't like it but some people do. Well he was right. It was like drinking hot water with a touch of weak coffee. Not good since I like a cup of good bold coffee.

Went there on a recommendation, its ok. Just a very small greasy spoon. Food was okish. We had breakfast. I ordered a breakfast horseshoe. It was just ok. Not bad, nothing i would rave about. My friend had french toast and he said it was very bland. Would i stop agian? Meh.
