Very popular long standing restaurant and bakery, since 1922 on old route 66. Huge menu! Very reasonably priced and delicious. First time I have eaten here and I wasn't disappointed. It's sort of a mixture of self serve and not. Once you come into the restaurant you take one of the disposable menus then find yourself a table all on your own. The tables are numbered. Once you decide on what you want you go back up to the counter and your order is taken and you pay at that time. When you order you tell them what table you are setting at and they bring your food out to you. Little different, but efficient. There isn't a lot of seating, but cozy and friendly. I liked all the large old pictures hung around the ceiling. Lot of history. They were very busy when I was there and sure didn't have time to relax much if at all. They also have a large display case up front with all kinds of their own baked goods.

Excellent restaurant with an interesting business model. It’s not full service, but it’s certainly streamlined. We walked in found a table and got in a long line (Sunday morning). In no time at all we had placed orders and food came out. I expected a decent wait and even considered going elsewhere, but I’m glad I stayed. Food is always consistent here. Just try to make sure you get everything you need when you order or else you may have to wait in line again (if it’s busy). The bakery is also impressive. Highly recommend this restaurant. Much better than 138 Cafe and with lower prices!

Stopped in here for the first time on a weekday with a small group; we were all thoroughly pleased. The menu was extensive, had great value, and the service was quick. I got the French toast combo and it was easily the best french toast I've ever had. I will definitely stop back here for breakfast again.

Delicious breakfast, lunch, and bakery items at affordable price points and quickly served. My favourites were the Kitchen Sink Omelette and Cinnamon Roll French Toast which is a cinnamon roll cut in half and then prepared like french toast. I was salivating from the smell alone. The Napoleon cake from the bakery is also a must have. Only oddity is that ice water costs 30¢ a cup. Great place to eat on Route 66.

Definitely a great place to stop while traveling. All of the food was tasty, but also reasonably priced. Food was made to order but still arrived quickly. I was able to pull right off of interstate, grab a quick, tasty, affordable meal and jump back on the road in 20 minutes. The only suggestion I would offer is that the bathrooms are small and only one person at a time. They were clean though. Probably I would call this place perfect.

I had the potato soup with a chicken salad sandwich. Unsweet tea. Always fresh, with hot soup. It took 10 minutes for the soup to cool enough to eat, so dip the bread as you wait. So great on a chilly day. I had a cheese danish with coffee. Nice drive, for a little ride. Highly recommend breakfast there too.

This is a nice, folksy place to grab a bite to eat. You seat yourself, make note of your table number, then go to the counter and order. Then a server brings your order to your table.
The food is pretty good, and you can't miss with any of the breakfast options. I do feel like there are a lot of up-charges for things that most other places would just give you.
The bakery portion is quite good. There were a lot of baked treats to choose from and we had a hard time choosing because they all looked so good.

What an absolute gem right on Historic Route 66. I had the Ultimate Horseshoe (shared) and a French Toast sandwich. Absolutely delicious! Plus a classic Cream Soda that was fantastic. The prices are very reasonable, making this place a great value!

Drive 200 miles to eat here, it ought to be good! And it is! Service from the CSRs pretty good also!
4.29. Bakery outstanding too! Get the Apricot Danish, the various muffins, and the Cin-Rolls! Heck, you may as well get two or five 'bismarks' to go! FIN
Burger & steak fries (which you cannot get many places anymore) DELISH!
Omg! The bakery items! Mmmm mmmm great! I don't eat bread regularly & I'm stuffing my face WITH BREAD!
TRY THE OMLETS! TRY THE OMLETS! TRY THE OMLETS!
Soups are delicious and made with love!
I try to try something new everything I visit. The menu is extensive & full of culinary greats!

Fun, cute, quaint & worth the stop.
The building is so fun inside, it's like stepping back in time and the goodies are amazing.
We started with an Old Fashion donut & for my old fashion longing friends out there you know there are good ones & there are bad ones. These were spectacular; so dense & moist. To pair perfectly with it, fresh coffee with unlimited refills.
Then our omelets came. Perfect filling to cheese ratio and the sausage was tremendous! The seasoning was spectacular. Their omelets come with 2 large biscuits & hash browns. Be sure to ask for them to be crispy otherwise you may not be happy if you like some additional warmth & crunch to yours (like we do).
The only draw back for us was the amount of food you get & the fact that we couldn't possible eat everything they gave us. We could have easily shared & we were grateful the have us a box to take it with us.
We'll stop again on our way through!
