Very chill space. Comfortable place to get some work done. Good coffee (Dark Matter) and very friendly staff. I'll be back!

I cannot say enough GOOD things about Ridman's. The staff are so friendly and polite and the atmosphere is welcoming and warm. They do tea properly and the coffee is very good- they brew Dark Matter which is one that I like a lot. A great community place to stop in, I would highly recommend to anyone.

Such a LOVELY, local coffee shop. We’ve been in so many times and each experience has been better than the last. Throughout my pregnancy, the hot chocolate was LIFE! And the lattes are delicious too!

Great new spot in the community! They have beautiful classic cafe drinks paired with an amazing friendly staff.

While the coffee and atmosphere are wonderful. I find two particular things frustrating - 1) a person experiencing homelessness came in asking for money and rather than offering this individual a coffee or asking for his name, he was told he “can’t do that.” I think it’s important to do more, to offer a sense of compassion, other than merely tell an individual in this situation not to bother other customers. 2) They are not open about the punch cards. While they are stationed at the front, I’ve been in several times and have forgotten to have my card punched (yes, this is on me). However, today I remembered this for both myself and my colleague (who meet here bi weekly). I inquired if the barista would punch my card and pointed to my colleague (for his to be punched), she punched mine for both of ours. When he then asked about his, she became frustrated and said “I just punched yours for his.” Acting as if we were trying to rip this place off. Actually, we come here every other week and have just now begun to punch our cards. While I understand it’s a business, I think the initial frustration with the worker was disheartening. We’ve both purchased several beverages here, with the same two employees working, and yet we are being assumed as if that we are trying to rip them off. While, sure, perhaps they don’t remember us. But that alone is frustrating. I don’t need them to know our name, but something about this dynamic did not sit right with me. I’m considering to see if my colleague and I can meet elsewhere.

This is a fantastic shop with an even more phenomenal staff. High quality and carefully crafted drinks, plus a good variety of vegan or gluten-free desserts.
Very conscientious amenities and a management that clearly values all customers and understands what makes a patron feel like a neighbor.

The internet used to be slow, but the workers are not. They remembered my order the need time I went in.

I come here to work. It's quiet during the day generally which I really like. Couch area is really comfortable and there are at least 2 plugs nearby. It's clean, well lite, plenty of seating, comfortably designed, with clean bathrooms. Dark matter coffee on tap, decent pastry selection, good tea selection, a few snacks here and there and a nice chai tea latte. Staff is friendly and location is conveniently located a few blocks from the red line/right next to the Clark 81 stop and 22 stop. Major negative here: the internet connection is terrible.

I had a cappuccino and a earl grey baked good. Both were delicious. Very spacious Cafe with lots of natural light.
