Ridman's Coffee

They take such good care of me at Ridman’s! It is a weekly stop to restock on beans, and now with ordering ahead on the Joe app, my drink is ready and waiting for me right before I catch the bus! Thank you for consistently making my day!

By far one of the best coffee shops in Chicago. Formerly a consultant for cafes, I am so impressed on the bar work from the back-end. Super organized. Menu is clean, simply and easy to read. It has a very homey feel (which is rare to find in a city that is a saturated with a forward-thinking spaces). The quality of coffee is good. My only recommendation is to explore other roasters than Dark Matter. There are new, fun kids on the block nowadays. Maybe have more vegan options as well (like coffee, there are new, fun kids on the block as well). The last, most important thing they have is COMMUNITY. They know the regulars by name. All generations come to the shop. Baristas love to connect with the customers on the side of the bar. It's a great shop for the neighborhood.

Very friendly staff. The deserts are vegan and gluten free...delicious. Well worth a stop in for a coffee break.

The staff is fantastic. The coffee is excellent. But the cafe could use some updating. The lighting is a bit dim, and the tables and chairs are a bit old looking. But by far the worst is the flooring. It looked very dirty. And I believe it is nearly impossible to keep looking nice. I don't think the problem is the staff, however. They work very hard.

The owner should close up for awhile, update the seating, lighting, and put down some new tiles.

I would say in defense of the owner, however, that a cheerful hardworking staff is a sign of excellent management. Clearly the owner is a good employer.

Delish iced mocha and cool vibe. Vegan options - YAY!... Extending sweeteners options to include Stevia would be great!

Great atmosphere, convenient location at a bus stop, and amazing customer service. I don’t have kids but the changing table in the bathroom is a nice touch to see. I’ve never seen such a considerate feature in a local coffee shop.

Tasty coffee, well prepared. Service was fast and friendly, and my cortado was great, so they can pull a shot with the best of them. :)

1000% recommend! Most independent coffee shops try to be too fancy or too gimmicky in my opinion. This place is the perfect understated place with great staff that has great coffee. Standard Dark Matter beans but they actually know how to pull a shot!!
