I would say Ridman’s is well above other nearby options like Dollop or Colectivo in terms of the quality of their espresso drinks. These baristas really know how to make a latte! Perfectly silky smooth every time.

Ryan is the best barista! Very creative and knowledgeable, and makes beautiful drinks to taste. Love Ridman’s commitment to community too.

Best coffee shop with the BEST owners! Such a welcoming, cozy place, delicious pastry selection, and the Puddin' Cup is the drink dreams are made of!

I came here and was excited. I asked for a dirty chai latte. He asked hot or cold. I said hot. I was never read back my order. I got a cold chai. When I said I said hot, no apology. They made my replacement quickly. However there is a difference in price between the two. In remaking it they didn’t even upgrade the size. (Iced is 24 ounces).

I paid 15 dollars for a crossaunt and 12 ounce dirty chai, which is just ridiculous.

Ambiance is nice. But I won’t come back due to the customer service. They could have at least offered something for their mistake.

Warm and welcoming space with comfy couch and chairs! My cycling team got there right at opening during a ride and stayed for an hour chatting. We appreciated the space and tasty coffee and pastries. We will be back.

Really wonderful staff and incredibly drinks. The seating includes a couch and a few soft chairs in addition to regular tables which were plentiful but spaced out enough that you could work or converse without being disturbed by conversations happening around you. They clearly care about what they're doing here and the staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful.

Had to review because this is the third time I’ve come in and people have been so nice. The last two times I forgot to specify my milk and they asked which literally saves my life (bad reaction to dairy). They have a nice selection of pastries even in the afternoon and they have some vegan and gluten free offerings from Defloured which is nice for me. (And the bust on the counter is even masked!)

I wandered in here after walking past it constantly and I am SO glad I did. This is possibly the best coffee shop I’ve ever been to in Chicago. A very airy light feel while still being cozy and friendly. Everyone who works here is approachable but knowledgeable. Plenty of seats, fast Wi-Fi, and great vibes. Will be regular here.

Despite some of the other reviews about the staff not being friendly, that was far from the experience I had. I was greeted by a very friendly barista. I had a blueberry scone and a regular coffee. The aesthetic inside is very cozy and cute. I sat on the couches by the window to enjoy my coffee and scone. I would definitely recommend this place to visit a friend or study. The place is a bit small and seating can be limited depending on the time you go. Great for small groups.

You also get a free refill!

This coffee shop is one of the best keep secrets in Chicago. I had a vanilla latte which was expertly crafted and delicious. The restroom has a changing table and offers diapers, wipes and feminine products. I’ve never seen such a thing! How thoughtful! Very clean, great atmosphere, comfy seating, big windows and lots of light if you’re working. They sell and serve Dark Matter Coffee (roasted in Chicago) and offer a variety of tasty treats. They also open at 7am daily, which is great for an early bird like myself. Highly recommend to all, for a cup to go or enjoying your Java in the cafe!
