The Vanilla Latte is spot on and served in really nice, traditional mugs.

Good place to sit and dine alone or come in for coffee on the go. The music is excellent and the staff is friendly. Want to try out your Spanish here for right ahead, the staff is bilingual.

The coffee with cardamom, cinnamon, and honey was divine. Experience improved by the great music, local art, lovely staff, and this beautiful mug! ๐ป

Great atmosphere, great service, great food. I donโt usually like crepes; I tried the crepes here and they were excellent. Will come back to try the coffee.

I love their cafe de olla, it has to be the best in Chicago ๐ and the Cubano panini is to die for.

Though there are many highly rated coffee shops nearby, this was the only one open on a Sunday. This place has some of the best coffee I've had in a while - plus the almond danish and triple s were delicious. Looking forward to sitting down for brunch here soon to try the crepes.

My experience with Hector is simply that he is a wonderfully kind and friendly man. His wife has done decorations indoors and amazing paint work. Everything about this store feels genuine, from the fresh teas, the incredible crepes, to the desire to pay homage to La Malinche -- the mother of mestizos, and frequently regarded as the traitor to indigenous peoples of Mexico.
He is truly all-in, and well worth a trip if you are in the area. The shop has an atmosphere that just can't be described in words on the Internet. But if I had to try, I would say that La Malinche is an homage to difficult love that you see through to the end.
