After Haleakala sunrise, we went here based on reco from our Maui guidebook. Place was run down(some might call it homely?), Line to order was long, took forever to get our food....we waited for over 30 mins after ordering and had to remind them. They are very frugal when it comes to ketchup. Food looked great but tested just OK. Cappuccino was terrible. Coffee was OK. Overall we were pretty disappointed... Our guidebook has never let us down. No restrooms either. Maybe we are snobby customers :(

A wonderful and delightful cafe! They have wonderful eats, aesthetically-pleasing dishes, and absolutely stellar customer service! The coffee was also delicious for my husband and I. I would also like to give a shoutout to the hostess behind the counter was a delight to chat with, not to mention some of the locals that came by to say "aloha" to our table!
The place was packed shortly after we arrived (this only reinforces how great the food is!), but we never once felt rushed to leave. We, of course, left as promptly as we could to make room for the other patrons.
Can't say enough good things about Grandma's Coffee House!

Amazing. Whole in the wall. The pastries were the highlight by far. Potato hash was also very good. It’s a simple cup of coffee, nothing fancy but great.

MEATLOAF. The gravy. 😍 Good coffee, lava flow dessert bar. Coleslaw. Mahalo NUI. <33

Simple goodness and home cooking. The pastry choices are delectable and the food was so good, I honestly forgot to take any pictures. Come early, we arrived at 11:30 and by the time we left, it was line a mile long line. But so very worth the wait.

Very cute coffee shop, highly recommend. They have amazing banana bread and muffins (that pumpkin cheesecake muffins though....!) Great spot to grab and go before you hit the Pipiwai trail

Nice little coffee shop and pretty much the starting point if you are doing the full Road to Hana anti-clockwise. The coffee was good, there service was not. There were two girls and a queue, one was serving and the other playing on her phone. She eventually served me after about 10 minutes.
With decent service, this would be a nice little coffee shop, its also the only place to stop for coffee/tea/breakfast before you get to Hana.

Their banana macadamia nut pancakes were the best I've had on the island and my husband loved the loco moco!

Coffee and food was delicious, the place gets very busy so you better get here early. We even had the pleasure of meeting with "grandma" herself! Had a little chat and she shared two great jokes with us! Absolutely the best spot after doing the mountain trip! Cheers Grandma.

Great coffee and cakes. The location is also great if you're cycling around.
