Lovely little spot in upcountry. We did a tour of the tea farm which was a nice intimate group (only 5 people). We were able to try all of the teas they offer. Yvonne was lovely and very knowledgeable about the grounds, tea plants, and other plants. She even gave us a few lemons from the trees to take back! I'd recommend for anyone looking to spend a day in upcountry or going up/down from Haleakala.
We did the tea tour today. It was a nice experience. The person giving us the tour was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. We got to do a bit of tea tasting as well, which was cool. Learnt a lot. The tour is about 25$ per person and about an hour long. We smelled some nice lavender too and other plants.
Go take this tour. Anyone interested in tea will be enthralled by the unique flavors and tastings. Mason was so informative and helpful. He was wearing the best hat ever. The woman working the counter was so sweet and helped us out. I wish they had a sampler deal of all the teas, but they are well worth the price. I love it here.
Our tour guide was excellent! Impressive knowledge of all things tea, but also the abundance of other plants on the farm. This location is still a bit new to the company (2 years) and our tour guide was passionate about the prospects for the farm and the plants they inherited from the previous land leaser. Got to try 2 different teas, including one Maui variety. Tea prices in the gift shop were reasonable, and location is conveniently walking distance to a zip line adventure! Views from the location were incredible.
The lady was so wonderful and the tea was great. Happy there was caffeine free option. A must on your way up to the Haleakala national park! Lighter pic is the Nettle and the darker one is black and white tea.
My husband and I signed up for the tea tour and had an amazing time. Andrea, one of the owners, was our tour guide and was extremely knowledgeable about tea farming! We learned about how tea is harvested and the process it takes from harvest -> shelf! Would recommend if you're in the area.
My family made a stop here on the way up Haleakala. The teas we purchased were delicious and I wish I would have bought the kai for myself to take home. My husband really enjoyed the Lani, which was the caffeine free option. We didn't do a tour but the grounds were beautiful and the flower walkway smelled incredible. Definitely worth a stop on your way up or down Haleakala!
We did the tour which ended with a tasting. The tour was good and they informed us on the local ecology and tea growing and processing. It ended in the shop with a tasting of the tea and coffee. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable.
Although it was the dormant season, we still saw lots of pretty flowers and were able to see the parts of the tea that are used when harvested. The tea was great, and we were able to try all the flavors several times. Cute gift shop.
