Waitress (who also made my coffee) didn’t wear a mask and the avocado toast wasn’t good. Bread seemed old and the smashed avocado had little taste.

I won’t go back but mostly because it’s unacceptable for the staff not to wear masks (and some wear is under the nose...)

Service was rude. They sold us a chicken sandwich and then said, "we don't have any chicken left" and began rolling their eyes when we asked what we could sub it for.

We also ordered two drinks, an ice coffee and frappuccino.. the ice coffee was warm with 3 cubes because, they poured hot coffee over ice :/ and the frap had sticky on the outside of the cup.

They sandwich was pretty good but, the bread was soggy.

This location has a tremendous amount of potential. It's gorgeous on the inside, but they need better customer service training

Great flavourful coffee, tasty pastries and delicious smoothies. Over the span of our ten day Maui visit, we ended up at Java Cafe at least every other day. Their coffees are the perfect boost prior to hitting the beach and their smoothies are just what you want after baking under mid-day sun. Personally, I very much enjoyed the Paradise smoothie and also had a few tasty cinnamon buns too. If you're in need of a quick snack, refreshing drink or perfectly made coffee - pop in to Java Cafe.

Really surprised the rating for this shop is so low. Really good local coffee beans, delicious smoothies, and the pastry looks flakey. The barista helped me find a great bag of beans to take home and made me an excellent breve cappuccino. <3

So the coffee was 5 stars I had a ice coffee came out fast. I stopped in on a Sunday morning around 8ish. I also got a bacon egg and cheese. That was the issue it took like 30 minutes to come out, it taste very good but i would have gone across the street to McDonald’s if I had known. Speed up and you will be 5 stars.

Avo toast not on sourdough like staff said ..on soft wheat toast.. not a smashed avo more of a unseasoned whipped avo.with sprouts n queso fresco.. zero seasoning.. at 14.50 won't be doing that again.. the pour over is good . More hipster than great flavors.. needs a person who can get it right.. close but not there yet..

Breakfast sandwiches are amazing!

The food and juice was really very good: the ginger and mint in the juice was delicious, the bread and croissant fresh, and the bacon crispy and smokey. However, most of the staff were not wearing their masks properly.

coffee options were great! I ordered a waffle, which was really pretty, but kind of bland. texture wasn't great either. but the fruit and nut toppings saved it. I'd come again to try another food item.

A nice chilled place with excellent food. We enjoyed our bagels, pastries, and cortado.
