Island Brew Coffeehouse
Review of Island Brew Coffeehouse
Island Brew Coffeehouse is a local coffee shop, breakfast restaurant, cafe, and sandwich shop located at 1450 Ala Moana Blvd, Honolulu, HI 96814. This establishment offers a wide range of food and beverage options to satisfy your cravings throughout the day.
The coffee and food at Island Brew Coffeehouse have received mixed reviews from customers. Some have praised the quality of the food and coffee, describing it as excellent and delicious. The menu offers a variety of options, including waffles, smoothies, strawberry Nutella toast, and the popular Açaí Bowl. The food comes out looking appetizing and is served in cute ceramic mugs if you choose to dine in. However, there have been a few negative comments about the coffee, with some customers expressing disappointment in the taste and preparation. It seems that the baristas may need to improve their coffee-making skills to ensure consistency and customer satisfaction.
The atmosphere at Island Brew Coffeehouse is generally described as friendly and hip. The establishment offers ample seating, making it a suitable place for studying or relaxing. The cafe is tucked away on the 3rd floor of the Ala Moana Center, providing a quiet and cozy environment away from the hustle and bustle of the mall. There are charging stations available for those working on their laptops, and the staff provides prompt attention to each customer.
One aspect that some customers have mentioned is the lack of outlets at certain tables. If you need to charge your devices while enjoying your coffee, it is recommended to choose a table in the back half of the cafe. Additionally, there are no restrooms on-site, so you will need to walk to Bloomingdale's to use their facilities.
The prices at Island Brew Coffeehouse have been a topic of discussion among customers. Some have found the food and beverages to be a bit overpriced, while others have felt that the pricing was reasonable and great for the quality and options available.
Overall, Island Brew Coffeehouse offers a convenient location within the Ala Moana Center, providing a diverse menu and a pleasant atmosphere for coffee lovers, breakfast enthusiasts, and those looking for a quick bite or a place to work.

the place is nice and their avocado toast is really good. I usually order an iced vanilla latte with oat milk, less sweet. :)

Great vibe, cool decor, plenty of seating, but the barista was inexperienced. My litmus test for the skill of the barista was to order a pour over. The barista left the grinder on fine from the last espresso and used those grinds for the pour over. Appeared to be too much for the size of the drink, then over extracted the brew by filling the pour over to the brim with water. It's a shame that so much effort goes into growing and roasting great coffee only to watch it spoiled by poor brewing.

Went here twice during our visit and both times was really great. Parking was always easy to find. Great place for breakfast and coffee especially if you want to do other shopping.

A coffee house with no sugar. Asked to put sugar in coffee and they said sugar is available outside. Once the coffee comes no sugar to be found when asked they say we are sorry we only have Splenda or other sweetners but no sugar let alone raw sugar. What kind of coffee house has no sugar but only artificial sweetners???

Service can be slow but their dark chocolate sugar free latte is awesome.
Had a Macha latte that was pretty bad though.

when I order a cup of tea at 2:30 on Thursday January 31st, a staff girl and staff guy were making out like almost kissing each other by the cash register. and She didn't give me any detials of info about the menu and she gave me an wrong one three times....but never said apologies, on the contrary, she was getting grumpy even tho those were her mistakes. It was so childish. I'll never come back.

Great food and great espresso smoothie.

Not worth the price you pay for food and drinks. $13 for a tiny (Costco bread) sandwich is quite ridiculous, and the $8 green summer citrus smoothie was disappointing.

Coffee was perfect, food was delicious. The girls that work here hustle, I was so impressed.
