Review of Island Brew Coffeehouse

Island Brew Coffeehouse is a local coffee shop, breakfast restaurant, cafe, and sandwich shop located at 1450 Ala Moana Blvd, Honolulu, HI 96814. This establishment offers a wide range of food and beverage options to satisfy your cravings throughout the day.

The coffee and food at Island Brew Coffeehouse have received mixed reviews from customers. Some have praised the quality of the food and coffee, describing it as excellent and delicious. The menu offers a variety of options, including waffles, smoothies, strawberry Nutella toast, and the popular Açaí Bowl. The food comes out looking appetizing and is served in cute ceramic mugs if you choose to dine in. However, there have been a few negative comments about the coffee, with some customers expressing disappointment in the taste and preparation. It seems that the baristas may need to improve their coffee-making skills to ensure consistency and customer satisfaction.

The atmosphere at Island Brew Coffeehouse is generally described as friendly and hip. The establishment offers ample seating, making it a suitable place for studying or relaxing. The cafe is tucked away on the 3rd floor of the Ala Moana Center, providing a quiet and cozy environment away from the hustle and bustle of the mall. There are charging stations available for those working on their laptops, and the staff provides prompt attention to each customer.

One aspect that some customers have mentioned is the lack of outlets at certain tables. If you need to charge your devices while enjoying your coffee, it is recommended to choose a table in the back half of the cafe. Additionally, there are no restrooms on-site, so you will need to walk to Bloomingdale's to use their facilities.

The prices at Island Brew Coffeehouse have been a topic of discussion among customers. Some have found the food and beverages to be a bit overpriced, while others have felt that the pricing was reasonable and great for the quality and options available.

Overall, Island Brew Coffeehouse offers a convenient location within the Ala Moana Center, providing a diverse menu and a pleasant atmosphere for coffee lovers, breakfast enthusiasts, and those looking for a quick bite or a place to work.

Could be a nicer place, but the customers are all a bunch of iPhone and laptops zombies. Every table taken up by a single person, taking over each table, leaching the free wifi and electricity. It isn't a library, guys. Coffee is decent/

Great waffles, smoothies, strawberry Nutella toast for our breakfast. Cool island vibe.

Honestly worst coffee on the island I tried so far. Baristas weren’t tamping the coffee properly. You don’t want to hit the side after you tamp. How can you call it coffee with one shot in a 12oz? That’s just milk! And it’s a $1 extra PER shot.
Ordered a quad shot almond milk iced latte it was beyond sour. Really don’t recommend this place for coffee. I ended up asking her to switch out my coffee for drip. Drip was good.

Small coffee ☕ small blueberry sconce and $9.50 later I was shocked to realize what is going on with the prices at our coffee shops.

Stupendous iced americano! I’m very picky with my coffee and they made it too perfect. Acai bowl wasn’t very flavorful and icy but I enjoyed it. It’s nice to have a place to sit down and relax. They take all Covid-19 precautions and it feels safe to be there.

Consistently great coffee. I've been coming since they opened and I'm never disappointed. I usually get the Cortado, but their flavored beverages are great too. The avocado toast is an excellent breakfast.

What a hidden gem!!
We were a little skeptical when we saw this coffee shop was in a strip mall, but as we pulled up, we couldn’t have been more pleased.
The shop is backed up to a beautiful water way with a lovely patio to sit, relax, eat and drink.
The coffee I got, a Thai latte, was delicious!! Plus the French toast was AMAZING!! Made from
Hawaiian bread, I was truly delighted by the present oof the meal and boy was it yummy!!
I highly recommend checking out this coffee shop if you are in Waikiki.

First time coffee-enjoying customer, but I didn't order the brew as I just wanted a quick bite to eat so only ordered an acai bowl. Would suggest a reminder to staff on customer service as no greeting from cashier/server, was prompted to pay on iPad and I "can leave a tip if I wanted to" after ordering one to-go item, and my pricey $10 acai cup left on the counter without any to-go spoon (silverware spoons by cream and sugar area only). Mid-morning wasn't terribly busy, no customers at counter, but worker had gone into the kitchen so had to wait a few minutes to ask for a plastic spoon. Loved the location decor and looked like the handful of customers working on their laptops were regulars. Might return to try the cold brew as I've heard that is delicious.

The tea, food, and atmosphere that I experienced was amazing. Despite the long line, I was able to find seating right next to the water!

Excellent coffee in a very pleasant environment. Sandwiches are very tasty with fresh ingredients arranged beautifully. Service very fast & friendly. The prices are average/high but normal at Ala Moana. Very accessible from third floor near Bloomingdales. Excellent wifi and charging stations throughout. There are about a dozen tables here.
