You can't go to Hawaii and not get sushi! We ordered the spicy salmon, spicy tuna roll, Veggie roll, veggie tempura, Hanapepe roll, and ahi tuna tacos rolls made with shrimp tempura and cucumber inside with eel and avocado. Every roll we had here was super fresh! We are from NYC so having this fresh sushi was like heaven. This was our first trying ahi tuna taco rolls. The ahi tuna is so melt-in-your-mouth delicious with its slightly sweet and buttery taste, and the shrimp tempura adds that perfect crunch that just takes it to the next level. While the eel had a sweet and savory and has the most tender texture you can imagine.

They have both a food truck (parked right in front of the restaurant), a store with art/prints/magnets/etc., and a restaurant. They currently offer seating outside in the back, which is a cute little area. The food was good, and we really liked our cocktails as well (I got the mint prosecco one, and my husband got a mezcal margarita)

Fresh fish and the fried chicken was so good! Casual dining (outdoors only) which was nice on the night we were there but I can imagine it would be a little uncomfortable on humid nights.

It's located 5 min drive from Allen Port so we came here for lunch before going on the Na Pali Sunset cruise. We came on a weekday for lunch and it was a bit difficult to find street parking. The courtyard was nice but it would look a lot nicer if they had put more plants and flowers to decorate it. I agreed with other reviewers that the food is overpriced here. Although the food were good, the portion size was small. I ordered the soba noodles and the portion was quite small even for a petite Asian woman like me (forgot to take pictures of the food). My friends ordered the shrimp bowl and sushi burrito and they were more filling.

So happy we were able to go to this well known place for it's (sushi) menu! We went in for lunch, and came back for dinner!

Awesome outdoor cafe with amazing staff and awesome food!
We had a poke bowl, a couple futomaki-ritos (tofu and tempura), tonkatsu and tempura bentos.
The tonkatsu is some of the best I've eaten, I wish my grandma could have made katsu like this! Moist, crisp breading and perfect portion size.
Spicy poke bowl was great also and the tofu futomaki made my kiddo happy and she liked the flavors. Our other kids powered through three orders of California rolls which were also good.
Will definitely come back!!!

food was great, but pricey & small portions. music was beautiful. service was pretty slow. wish they did something special for occasions like most restaurants.

Good tasty and flavorful but pricy food. Finally we had some descent Japanese food in Hawai’i. Cheek was a little over done!

Fab food in a small town setting. Great service. Simple but cozy outdoor patio setting. Next door to a few fine art galleries.
Eel bomb rolls were delicious and their raspberry mule cocktail dangerously good.
I didn’t realize that Kauai’s most popular restaurants book out months in advance upon arrival to the island so I’m very glad to have stumbled upon this place.

Love the open backyard dinning space, spacious and cleaning! Good selection of Japanese dishes with Hawaiian local ingredients, and they even have a kids menu!
