Delicate and flavorful, captures the essence of Japanese cuisine perfectly. The mushroom tacos Devine, vegetable rolls to die for. Sauces subtle, Wasabi and ginger of high quality. The ambiance tranquil tucked away in the back.

Delicious! Everything was fresh, prepared perfectly, and service was superb. My husband is a huge fan of Ika and said it was the best Ika Nigiri he has ever had. I had Hamachi Nigiri and it was amazing - buttery and savory and 100% fresh. We will definitely be back. 👍

My family doesn’t typically eat sushi, but we really enjoyed the food here. Great atmosphere and experience. Definitely check out the swinging bridge before or after you eat!

My wife and I had a lovely dinner in their beautiful outdoor back patio. Tempura (veges and Kauai shrimp) was light, hot, and delicious. So was the fried chicken! Service was amazing.

Really great spot- the front is a shop, so we were a little confused but the host took us out to the patio and it was beautiful and the food was SO good.

High quality sushi with an amazing outdoor eating area. We make the trip to JGC every time we are in Kauai. Service is friendly and the atmosphere is laid back; might be too laid back if you are used to very attentive service. It’s usually busy so make a reservation if you can. You have to go into the shop and they will send you outside to the eating area, don’t try to walk out there first, you have to go inside to check in first. There’s live music every night as well!

Waited 40 minutes for our food, and for some reason they forgot our soba. It was taken off from our check though, so one more star for that. The food was ok but pricey. 2 stars. Would not recommend.

Service was wonderful. Sushi was fresh and yummy. The Bento Bowls are filling. Great place to eat and then explore this hip little town's cool art scene.

This is a cute little local spot that we decided to try out. They have a really nice setting and the back patio is spacious, quite and a chill place to eat and enjoy the amazing weather. They have great sushi, bento bowls, ramen and more! We tried a lot of different things and everything was delicious! I’d definitely recommend stopping in and giving Japanese Grandma’s a try.
