Disappointing every time. The service is always slow, disorganized and reprioritizing the customer. The coffee and food are good and the interior is nice but the lack of ugency for the customer is frustrating. Additionally they need to fix their sound system. It skips, stops and scratches making for a less than pleasant experience. I want it to be good, but it clearly has a lack of good management.

UPDATE:

I went back and my previous issue seems to be fixed! Dates are on the bottom of the parfait cup to ensure freshness. Staff very sweet. :) I appreciate that they took the criticism and made a change, that's very rare for a lot of companies!

Also, back patio is extremely nice, I suggest sitting there in the mornings before it gets too hot. You can't beat chicken-watching in Ybor. One of the only cafes in Ybor that has outdoor seating this nice.

The Cafe is nice and it's good place to chill or sit and do work but the quality is iffy sometimes. Each time I get a parfait, the fruit on top is moldy. It's very off putting and this has happened at least 3 times. Their baked products and sandwiches and teas are good tho.

Brides, grooms and event hosts BEWARE. We were over promised and under delivered on our event catering order. We were told we could make our own labels....they didnt follow through on their end. We purchased time for the esspresso machine....it broke and they asked my husband who was about to get married if they should run orders from the cafe instead (no adjustment to the price). My husband, wanting the show to go on, agreed. Literally two people got orders because who wants to have their barista run across the street to make their cup. The general manager was incredibly rude to us and told us my husband was more than capable of making a decision...he was literally 30 minutes from the ceremony start, what do you expect him to say. They offered a $50 giftcard to smooth things over and we never received it. We don't even want to go back after they were the only problematic vendor at our wedding. What a waste of money. We were told they did the event at cost, something we never asked them to do. What a poorly run catering job.

Response to owner: Unfortunately, apologies are not effective when accompanied by insults from your prior GM (we were also demanded why it took so long to contact about our dissatisfaction when we had just gotten back from honeymoon and holiday travel). His interactions with us were salt in the wound. Instead of making a venmo request for a petty $50 (we spent many times that amount on our order), I'd rather warn potential future customers that they may have to personally pay for any shortfalls in their expectations like me.

I loved this place and its coffee from day one. Staff is friendly, and sweet.

They have different milk options and flavors for the coffee, my favorite is the cappuccino with oat milk and lavender 😍

They offer a small but good variety of breakfast sandwiches and other baked desserts. Their choco banana bread is so yummy 😋

Great coffee to spend a few hours working, reading or just chilling with an outdoor seating area.

Friendly baristas. Comfy environment. The breve cortado was delicious. Made well. Espresso blend here has a bit of a bite. Really nice coffee bar with space to work and outlets.

Not only do I enjoy the beautiful service and people at Foundation (Miranda is a light of love!) but I also consult at a lot of jobs with Salt Block catering through Foundations Event Space Cavu.

We had a surprisingly unpleasant experience on 1/25/22. We were one of the first customers and everything seemed normal until we tasted our coffee. We all got different drinks and the coffee/espresso had a bittersweet almost fruity taste. I asked why the coffee tasted this way but didn't get a response. Atmosphere was great and service was ok; just the beans were bad.

I really don’t understand how this place has such high ratings , I do not like to be harsh when rating local business but coming here was a major disappointment. I honestly had to double check I was even in the right location . As soon as I walked in, the first thing I could smell was the awful stench that resembled spoiled water . It immediately threw me off but I decided to stay and give them a try. When I went to the cashier , I catched the barista cheesing at a customer just to make a nasty “ I don’t want to be here “ face as soon as she turned around . When I asked for a caramel iced latte he informed me that they were low on ice and that he could only make me a small one so unfortunately my cousin didn’t even get to try a drink . I don’t understand how they even run into that situation. Once I did have my drink I was only more disappointed since it tasted like cold milk , absolutely no coffee or caramel flavor at all despite it being a caramel iced latte. As I drank it all I could think of is I wish I would’ve gone to Starbucks . Furthermore, the baked banana bread was given to me with burnt crisps. Not enough chairs and my cousin stood next to me as I sat down for this awful experience . I wouldn’t reccomend this place to anyone and it really doesn’t live up to its reviews .

Good coffee, friendly staff and good atmosphere for a quick drink.
