Simply great! I always go for either latte or cappuccino with different flavors added sometimes. I appreciate the consistency of quality and taste/flavor of their coffee at this location. Friendly baristas, outdoor seatings are nice, drive-thru is always a good idea but the service does slow down a lot when there's only one car ahead of you. That's just very minor. I highly recommend!

Very clean, downtown feeling. Love the lattes, good place for studying, having meetings or just hang for a few. Customer service is awesome, and consists a nice outdoor patio

Foundation coffee is truly Ybor’s hidden gem. I cannot express how thoughtful, welcoming and knowledgeable the staff here is. I saw this location as the Bunker and what it is now, and the amount of thought that went into this re-design is incredible. I would personally like to highlight Jill who consistently goes above and beyond for those who visit. She embodies a dying form of customer service that is refreshing. I have grown to know nearly all the staff here and cannot applaud them enough. This may just be a coffee shop, but the impact this business has on the elevation of historic Ybor is monumental. Ybor establishments need to take note on how it’s done!

This is most certainly a hype spot. Food was not good at all and coffee was okay. I’ve spent 5 dollars on a way better BEC. Be ready to spend 10+ dollars on a BEC. You pay 7.28 to “build your own” sandwich and then pay almost $2 each for the bacon, egg and cheese. So your basically paying $7 for a piece of bread. I paid in total almost $40 for 2 nasty sandwiches and 2 coffees. If you’re visiting Tampa and looking for a place to get coffee I’d suggest somewhere else.

Update 8/17/22 - still the same issue. Very frequently out of coffee and they make you wait. At the very least, they should tell us BEFORE we pay so we can make a decision on whether we have the time to wait 😔

Been here 3 times now and love the coffee. But for EACH of those 3 times, I had to wait 15 minutes because "we are brewing a fresh pot".

Sounds like an operations issue. Hopefully they address this because I do like their coffee...good luck.

Heard so many great things about this coffee shop so I decided to give it a try. The staff was not very welcoming and warm, sadly. The space itself is pretty neat and modern, I loved the look. I like going places where there is diversity, none whatsoever here at Foundation, and that’s a HUGE downgrade in my book. If you’re looking for a place to get work done, this is not the space for you as it is very noisy. However, if you’re looking for a space where you don’t care for a smile from staff, don’t mind monoculturalism (white), great mocha latte, and lots of noise, this is indeed the space for you. Loving the direction the owners are taking this bar. With a focus on quality, they're offering some truly exceptional coffees from some of the best roasters in the world. This Kenyan from Hex is exactly what I want in a washed east African coffee! I look forward to seeing their own roasting develop in the near future as well.

Waited almost twenty minutes for a cup or regular coffee and a tea, even though there was no line, and when we asked for a refund the worker said “oh i can start making it now if you want”…like what?! Only gave it two stars because the coffee was pretty good. Don’t go here if you don’t feel like waiting forever!
