Great spot to relax or get work done. Solid coffee and an awesome atmosphere

We had my daughter's 18th birthday party at Foundation Coffee in Ybor. We rented the patio out back for ~20 girls. Jennifer, the owner, went above and beyond to make this extra special. The patio was set up beautifully and Jennifer went out of her way to add every detail to make it even prettier.

We had our own barista/ server, Gabby, attending to the girls. She made sure the coffee drinks were perfect as ordered. We had trays of breakfast Cubans and regular Cubans deliciously made by Jill. On our tiered fruit, cheese, and nut platter every berry in it was beautiful. My younger daughter said the breakfast Cuban was the best thing she has ever had! We brought our own birthday cake and they provided plates and utensils to make it easy. The girls really enjoyed it.

The coffee and food were delicious and the service was outstanding. Jennifer and her husband really care about their business, staff, and patrons. Come support this local business! You will be glad you did! Thank you, Foundation Coffee, for making my daughter's day so special!

Honestly it makes me sad to write this review as I think this coffee shop could be great and sometimes is. When certain staff are working service is great and the coffee is wonderful, but when others are there the coffee is made with strange proportions and the service is very slow. All employees are very nice but perhaps need more training. Also, the store seems to consistently run out of things like drink cups, lids, and syrups and there have been many times they appear understaffed. I have been here at least a dozen times but the service is so inconsistent that I've made the decision to go elsewhere because I'm not sure what I will get when I arrive.

Reply to owner's response: To clarify, these issues have nothing to do with the hurricane, I have been here only once since then. The issues have been ongoing for the past several months.

This new location needs consistency on the coffee, please check on your baristas. some days coffee is bomb and some days is nasty!! Like real bad!! I wanna like the place but I don't know

They are back in the area!!! Yay! I can't tell you how much I missed you guys. Coffee and food is amazing as always. The coffee is the best in the area for me.

I rarely think of heading to Ybor to find somewhere to work and grab a cup of something great to drink but when I decided to try Foundation Coffee I was pleasantly surprised. The inside decor is spacious, neat and great vibe. There is plenty of back patio seating and a few tables in the front. I ordered a london fog tea with almond milk and really enjoyed spending a few hours working. The only distraction was the roosters 🐓 a common visitor in Ybor.

Slow, slow. 3 coffee drinks, 20 minute wait. The 2 lattes were good at least, but the drip coffee was the worst I have ever tasted.

loved this coffee shop! amazing coffee, good pastries, local art, and great wifi. fun seating area with couches to hang out and tables for working.

Great atmosphere, quaint and cozy. Ideal for working remote or just chill. Friendly personnel. Great coffee, lattes and espressos!!
