Bula Kavananda Kava Bar & Coffee House

Absolutley love this place! Perfect lounge to study, socialize, or sit alone and ponder your thoughts. Super warm and cozy vibe, and the Kavatenders are also extremely welcoming and upbeat. Highly recommend stopping by and checking it out if you're in the Tampa area.

Cool atmosphere.

Kinda nutty this company trademarks the name bula but doesn't sell actual kava powder.

When I asked if they had kava powder they offered me kratom.

Seems like more of a kratom place than an actual kava place.

Meh.

As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a smile and such a warm "hello" from the woman behind the bar. She introduced herself as "Ashley" and asked had I ever been there. I had not and Ashley took the time to explain the breakdown of Kava and Kratom, the effects on the body and mood, and gave her own suggestions based on my responses. I NEVER had someone in a coffee shop do that! I was so blown away by her customer service and extensive knowledge. She absolutely represented the brand. The atmosphere is so chill and welcoming. The vibes are great here too. I have found my new favorite spot in Tampa!!

Great atmosphere and great products. Offers you a place to hang out and socialize without drinking alcohol. Love these places.

My local friends favorite Kava place , and my first kava I ever had. Which gave me an Interesting tingly feeling in my mouth. Can't recall what we ordered but it was amazing, coconut something with a espresso shoot. Anyway the store looks beautiful , there was a fun crowd inside and the kavarista was very friendly and quick.
Only note for first timers you have to dig a bit deeper for such kavafantastic drink.
Think of a long drink price range.

Been going there for a few weeks now. Very good coffee, Very good latte's. The Bulletproof coffee is very good too. Nice atmosphere.
But parking is almost non-existent. Several times i went there only to turn around because there is just no parking.
I found this place to get away from Starbucks terrible parking, and now it seems this one is the same way.

I started drinking kava/kratom a few years ago so I've been kava bar hopping for awhile. I stumbled across Bula a few months ago, and THIS place. All of the staff are so so welcoming and friendly.The one person who specifically made this place special for me and my friends, is Jason. He carries the best energy every time he's working. He is so educated on all the drinks and can provide you with any questions you have if you are new to the kava scene. Hands down one of the best kava-tenders I've ever met and he's become a great friend. Thanks Bula and thank you Jason!!

Really love the atmosphere, the menu has lots of options but not overwhelming.. one of the neatest/cleanest Kava cafes I've been to. The service is great, friendly and attentive.. and you can meet some interesting people! A nice place for the social body

My first time staying in Tampa from NYC I was in search of great coffee. Upon visiting many locations in the area I stumbled upon Bula. I came in for Coffee but left with so much more. It was a morning routine to get coffee and start my day however the atmosphere, staff, and positivity that floods the room kept me coming back for more. I was introduced to Kava with a plethora of information from the staff. Kava was an amazing Fitness recovery from my half marathon. I highly recommend this location, it’s a great place to relax, socialize, and unwind from morning to night. You may come in for the drinks but you return for the outstanding experience!!

The first time I came in I immediately knew this was a place I would return to regularly. The space is beautifully set up with some really great comfy seating but also a solid work space area, depending on what you need for the day. The Kava is delicious and there are plenty of beverage choices. Everyone that works here is super welcoming and knowledgeable. Excited for the community that will grow here!
