Foxtail Coffee Co and Kelly’s Ice Cream - Sand Lake

It’s a great place for coffee and the ambiance. I rate this a 4 because both drinks I got were sweet beyond measures. I made a second trip before posting a review because I could feel that the espresso was rich, just needed to validate that it wouldn’t come out as sweet the second time around. Definitely stop by here for all coffee fanatics.

this coffee shop has very quickly become my favorite in the area. the vibe is very inviting and homey, with indoor and outdoor seating available. the matcha here is easily my favorite of any of the coffee shops or cafés around, especially iced and with oat milk. there’s wifi available and a variety of seating options so it’s a great place to sit and do work, catch up with a friend, or enjoy an afternoon snack. the staff is also super friendly and the service is quick! bonus- the bathrooms are super pretty.

Amazing coffee and tastes very clean compared to most coffee shops. The ambience is unmatched. It is cozy, warm, and feels like home. The friendly staff and owner always make my day better. I have been coming here almost every morning since I found this location. I hope you get to experience what I have in such a short time. Highly recommend stopping in and trying their coffee. It is also great for meet ups and meetings ;)

In my first visit to a Foxtail Coffee, I enjoyed it so much I came right back the next day! It also helps that it was close to my hotel and Universal, but it still earned the merit of being good enough to come back to immediately.

FoxTAIL gets all the deTAILS right. You could say they’re a good coffee shop to TAIL. Haha. They really do pay attention to the small things. The decorations, the artsy cups, and even stickers and mugs and shirts fun things with their own Foxtail touch. It’s all there.

My favorite thing I tried here was the Cafe Sua Da drink! It’s not on the hanging menu but is hidden in their paper menu, but don’t miss it!! It’s fabulous and unique from most of your typical coffee drinks. Also, it comes iced, in case you expect it to be hot and think you got the wrong order like I may have (oops).

They have yummy-licious chocolate croissants and other goodies. I just was really surprised how much I liked Foxtail and I wish I lived closer to one! This story will just enTAIL more trips back, I suppose!

Conveniently located in Dr.Phillips, this coffee shop has a stylish and cozy ambience. Their products displayed in the cafe are eye-pleasing. You can tell that they put a lot of thought into creating their brand.

However, being positioned as a specialty coffee shop, this Foxtail location delivers subpar coffee (which costs around $5 for a cup on average). At the time we were there, espresso tasted too bitter. A bit of bitterness elevates the flavor of coffee, but too much bitterness implies that espresso was over extracted. Typically a specialty coffee shop has a barista checking the quality of coffee every morning so it was surprising that the espresso was too off-balanced. Redialing in espresso and rechecking the espresso machine would be highly recommended.

At this location you can see baristas making espresso drinks. While observing baristas pulling shots and assembling drinks, we noticed that they were not purging steam wands. Purging the steam wand before and after steaming milk can help keep it clean, prevent bacterial buildup, and ultimately improve the taste of coffee. While this place gets high volume of traffic, we still think it will be good to keep the espresso station clean (especially around where used coffee grinds are disposed).

Foxtail definitely has its identity, but we would like to see much better quality control that matches with the price.

I love this place. The coffee is great, the music rocks, and the staff is terrific. Sam is very professional and eager to make sure her customers are happy.

There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Everything is immaculate.

My current fav is the Peppermint Mocha Latte with Oatmilk. Great options for vegans and vegetarians..

This is a really nice area and the coffee shop was amazing. The place is nice inside and was a little crowded when we visited but it wasn't bad sitting outside. The coffee was really good.

There is a nice dock with a decent view out back as well which is cool.

This is always be my favorite coffee cafe not only the drink is on point but also the service here is amazing ! I love their matcha ice latte and their ice latte is awesome.
They will have Kelly ice cream inside their cafe too!!! Can’t wan it to try them all

This place is soooo cute. The coffee is amazing, we tried the Vanilla Caramel Coldbrew w/ Half and Half and an Iced Vanilla Latte w/ Oatmilk, Doppio w/ Orange Bitters, and Doppio w/ Lavendar Bitters. The baristas were a joy and incredibly sweet to my whole group of friends and I as we were here to study. Much love from Atlanta. I hope to be back again.

I gave it a 2 only because I’m being reasonable. The cafe con leche was cold. Besides it costing me $8.10 ($1 tip included )
The server asked me if I wanted condensed milk instead of sugar and I was charged an additional .75. Did not know it cost that much for a teaspoon of condensed milk. The total came out to be $8.10. I’m flabbergasted with the fact that I’m Cuban and from Miami and I just paid $8 for a cold cafe con leche. (Coffee and Milk) It was supposed to be hot. She charged me extra when I requested that I wanted it dark. I will never ever return with those prices. I like my coffee piping hot and at a reasonable price. Very disappointed. A cafe con leche in Miami is no more than $3.50. Talk about taking advantage of the tourists. Ugh
