The Local

Our first time eating here today. My family loved it. All of their food has a unique twist. It’s all freshly made. Kids eat free on Tuesday with a purchase of an adult meal. It was packed when we went for brunch. I would definitely like to go again a for lunch/dinner. Similar to how a lot of restaurants are doing now. You order at the counter and then you have a number at your table for the server to bring to your table. Overall great experience!

We shared a very disappointing first experience at the local. There was hardly anyone waiting when we arrived. The table next to us ordered after us and got their food like 20 minutes before us for one. Being the only people of a different race I almost feel we weren't wanted there. So it started. Our water cups were dirty. Then we ordered an appetizer spinach dip, 1 burger and the chicken sandwich. Then the table that ordered after us got their meals and appetizer. We wait another 20 minutes and finally our food came. Why after being there 40 minutes did we get lukewarm spinach that also didn't look appealing? Then a minute later the entrees. The burger was cold, the chicken sandwich burnt to hell and still was not hot. We Definitely felt like they didn't want us there or to come back because how can this be an experience? While everyone else received food timely and that looked good? As we left and complained a perfect looking meal went by us, but they were content on giving us garbage. We sent it back and happily so. This was crazy

Loved everything about this place! From the staff, to the atmosphere (great music), to the food itself, everything was amazing!!! We got the Spinach & Artichoke dip for an appetizer. We each ordered a burger for our entree which was cooked perfectly. We tried the flourless chocolate torte and creme brulee cheesecake with an espresso on the side for dessert, which really rounded out the meal. Highly recommend! We will be back!

Not the same as the beach location. Food was different hot honey chicken was not as good. Atmosphere was not the same. A bit pricey for quantity and quality received. A glass of Meiomi wine was $12 for a six ounce pour.

The customer service and good was A1. Definitely will return again.

Very very very good. The chicken sandwich is a MUST try! Great atmosphere, attentive staff and distanced indoor and outdoor seating. My friend had the salmon sandwich and raved about it. I have never had something here that was not delicious!

Food prepared with care and good ingredients for a pleasurable experience. Very good menu, very good prices, very good service and a casual atmosphere make The Local an excellent choice in Jacksonville for a relaxed meal in good company.

Went last night with my husband, Clay was our server. Amazing food and amazing service! Reasonably priced and great quality - my husband couldn’t decide on a drink and Clay suggested a flight! 10/10 would recommend!

Pretty good, had breakfast here with my dad and the food was delicious and nice. Little to no wait and they were very nice. I had a fruity pebble waffle, very much recommended 👍

The brunch looked delicious but I just missed the cutoff. Contrary to other reviews, the staff was extremely friendly to me even as I sat at a table for 3+ hours studying and watching the Jags lose.

My burger was a great concept, but lacked a little execution. Overcooked. And the goat cheese and bacon jam should have worked, but there was more bacon than jam, losing the sweetness.

But I would definitely come back and will try just about anything on the menu.
