Stopped here before our airboat tour. I had a blackened fish sandwich and my wife had chicken fingers. The fish sandwich was good but the chicken fingers were only okay. The fries that came with both meals were quite good. Prices seemed pretty reasonable for the area.

A very cute little cafe that is greatly themed on the inside and outside! Great and quick service! My waitress was very nice and quick footed! She deserves a raise for sure! (Unfortunately it seems like they are understaffed.) The food is pretty good, especially for how cheap it is! I will definitely be stopping by again sometime in the future for dinner since I was there for breakfast.

Clean with amazing food. Tried the gator bites. Very good.

We stayed a week in Marco Island and for the money, this food was the best we had. The BEST grouper bites I've ever had. Excellent and friendly service.

We come to Everglades City a few times a year and always eat at Island Cafe, until yesterday. We came in after the parade. Three tables to the right had people. We sat at a 4th table. And we sat. People came in after us, went to the left, were seated, had menus, we still sat. Two of the tables on our side had their drinks brought to them, their orders taken. We still sat. Watched a young man behind the counter spray nasal spray into his nose 4 times. We got up and left, no one was even at the register. Very disappointing.

Breakfast as American as can be. Tasty, simple, reasonable priced. Super friendly staff. When child chose grits as option the waitress simply commented allrighty and if you don't like it I will bring you potatoes. Kid liked grits because we added jam and all so we were fine. However just the offer of being open to help when it seemed that kid was not really aware of what grits is was one part of us noticing of how outgoing and welcoming they are. While being there we happened to notice a few other events with other customers that made us realise how lovely they are treating customers. Not many options regarding avocado/kinky brewed coffe/extravagance choices but hearty outback atmosphere with a lot of really needed moskito windows, laminated local maps doubling as table surface and full breakfast with tea or coffee. Nicely decorated. Might do with a few updates here and there but nothing too worriesome. Highly recommended as starting a day in the Everglades.

Really enjoyed the blackened grilled chicken. Fries were really good. Restaurant was clean. Bathrooms could use hook on the door for personal items.

Philly cheese steak was good. Pizza burger was not so good as both parties were overcooked and dry. To make matters worse very little tomato sauce on the sandwich. Only had 1 waitress for entire restaurant, so service was slow and not very good

Came across this little Cafe and loved it!
We had 6 people in our group, and Our waiter (Ivan) was super helpful and attentive. He offered great food advice on the menu, it was excellent.

I had the eggs and bacon, plus the Belgian waffle and bacon. It was delicious and I was stuffed when I was done.
