1842 Daily Grind & Mercantile

Great selection of coffee and a few teas! Cool stuff for sale. Only a couple of food items available. Even though some of the reviews seem to say this is a good place for breakfast, I would disagree. On the day we went, there were only three things listed, two types of scones and a quiche. Due to the extremely limited menu items, I would suggest coming here for coffee and getting a snack. Don't plan on it for breakfast.

A quaint little coffee shop and more. Very friendly staff and delicious baked goods. The day I stopped by the Expresso machine was not working but the regular coffee was good so not a huge inconvenience. They have chairs and tables outside to enjoy your purchases. I would definitely return.

Great coffee, great food... Don't go to Cedar Key without checking this place out.

The breakfast sandwiches were very good, as well as the coffee. Just beware if you get a smoothie as ours was full of ice chunks. :(

Lots of places nearby are not what I would consider “Covid safe” but this place is the complete opposite! I feel so safe and it feels extremely clean and Covid free lol. We got a waffle breakfast sandwich which was amazing and the egg was phenomenal. I also got a peach smoothie which came with a eco friendly noodle as a straw and got the famous choc dipped key lime (which I recommend everything 10/10) Will definitely be back and the owners were exceptionally nice!!

Loved this coffee cafe! The muffins and scones are homemade and the coffee is great! The owners and staff are friendly and easily engage in conversation. I will absolutely come back.

I can not say enough about this place! Simply wonderful! The food is simply amazing! This is any coffee lovers dream. The owners are wonderful. Along with the staff. What a needed addition to the island! Well done. You will forever have my business!

I think the fruit was soured.and my drink was awful and when i told the lady she got ugly with me and asked me to get in the back of a huge line.i had been in for 15 minutes prior to her taking my order..do not go here you can get better drinks from the ditch. These ppl are spiteful and i witnessed several being treated the way i was. Maybe we can get a decent place there when they leave.(owners a jerk )

Just had the best chocolate muffin of my life! I’m not a big coffee fan, but I got a caramel frappuccino because it’s what I usually get at Starbucks, and I can say that their version is 100% better than Starbucks’ 👍
Even though I’m a local, I definitely don’t go to the shops in town enough. However I am going to do better at supporting 1842 through this pandemic. The crew there is doing CK a service that we desperately need, and the way they’re handling this situation is admirable 💛
