Excellent small menu changes often, but all good fresh food. 1894 salad is a fresh spinach salad with lots of goodies on top like strawberries, blueberries, feta, balsamic vinaigrette and rolled up sliced turkey on the side. Excellent. Also a turkey avocado sandwich looked amazing, served with same salad. Tiny little place but really good.

Absolute lovely place to dine!!! I am Absolutely not a omelette person, but our breakfast was outstanding ๐ They sold me on their omelette. Owners and staff were all very lovely and welcoming. We will definitely dine again at this fine establishment ๐ Many healthy options to choose from on the menu, and everything is homemade by the owner who gets up at 3 am every morning!! Beautifully decorated and lovely music ๐ถ playing from actual albums from days gone by. This place should be on your must stop list ๐๐

We went to this coffee shop several times on our trip for coffee and breakfast. It's a relaxed eatery- not fast food, but it's a great food experience. They have indoor and outdoor seating for small groups. They play old records for music. Overall, a great aesthetic for a relaxing breakfast! Their coffee is from a roaster in Gainesville and it's all good! We loved the pancakes, egg sandwiches, and their special at the time- bacon cheddar drop biscuits with sausage gravy!

Enjoyed a great breakfast here today. Blueberry pancakes with maple butter and warm syrup -delicious! The daily special - salmon hash with a fried egg was incredible! Enjoyed the Cedar Key coffee, too! The food was great; the service exceptional. Do yourself a favor and go there!
P.S. Weโre going back later for a piece of chocolate dipped frozen key lime pie,,,

I had the avocado, spinach and feta quiche, nothing short of wonderful. Mr. had the meat lovers quiche also excellent. It came with potatoes and salad. A wonderful start to the day. I donโt drink coffee so I canโt Rate that....seemed to be a lot of coffee coming out the door though.

The seafood crepe was delicious! Visiting Cedar Key for the first time, we had the pleasure of getting coffee and crepes to go and they were delicious! The teeny tiny coffee shop has a big warm heart!

Wonderful little place for breakfast and coffee. I'm not a coffee drinker, but my girlfriend is. She was very pleased with their iced coffee. The egg sandwich and loaded oatmeal are delicious. Staff is friendly and the atmosphere is quiet, even though it is a small place.

The owners of 1842 Daily Grind, Martin & Terry, I have nothing but massive respect for! The mask enforcement for the health and safety of their employees and customers during the COVID-19 pandemic is amazing! I might also be biased but the coffee here is outstanding and the best around. The baked goods and the food is so fresh and tastes delicious. The atmosphere of the shop is always perfectly clean and beautiful. Cedar Key is so blessed to have a coffee shop like 1842, and I encourage everyone who reads this to stop in and see/taste for yourself! Support local business!

Great little place on 2nd street in Cedar Key. Got a frozen sugar free strawberry and caramel flavored coffee. Never missed the sugar. Great service, great town.

Absolutely amazing food & staff/owners. The coffee (latte for me) is fantastic & the BLET is phenomenal. Crisp, fresh ingredients served with a smile in a beautiful environment. Most charming place Iโve visited.
