Sweet Science Coffee

Sweetest staff here and they know how to make a proper tea! Steeped it before adding half and half. So scrumptious. Shout out to the kind barista who reheated my scone.

Wonderfully friendly with first class coffees including delicate flavorings (I normally don't flavor my espresso, but go for the lavender for a taste treat).

A great place to grab a coffee and unwind, complete work, or meet with a friend. The employees are kind and helpful. It is a cashless establishment and does offer wifi. I enjoyed their mocha and the chocolate bourbon pecan pie.

The atmosphere is lovely; there is free wifi; a great place to bring a book or work on your computer during the weekday. Street parking available but it may be difficult to find a spot. I ordered oatmeal and a café au lait, and the barista brought it to my seat. I thought it was very kind and made my experience happy.

This somewhat underground hidden gem is one of my favorite coffeeshops in the DMV. Great for conversations. Great for reading. Great for working. Also the coffee is pretty great. If coffees not your thing, they've got good beer and wine too.

Her craft is superb and the coffee divine. I've never tasted such creamy and smooth coffee in my life. Watching her work is well worth it on a Sunday afternoon.

Such a hidden gem! First the staff is super friendly and attentive and felt almost restaurant like! So please tip, they give great service. Second the cookies are the best in the DMV! Tea is a bit higher than other coffee shops and coffee is good but not great. Lovely spot to get work done and my hotspot worked perfect, but they also have wifi if you need it. Also as a biker, there is a bike rack out front which was great. 10/10 DMV coffee shop!

I've been working nearby for almost a year and never realized this was here. Normally I just go to Peet's but I'm glad I found a real coffee shop to go to. Their coffee is great and staff are friendly. Highly recommend.

Maybe stick to your hours? Really frustrating to come by here when you're supposedly open only to find out that you've closed literally two hours early. This happens pretty much every weekend.

Update your hours.

The coffee was delicious, but the wait time for 2 lattes was 20+ minutes—which was ridiculous! Only go if you don’t have somewhere to be and can wait however long it may take.
