Phenomenal coffee, excellent Ethiopian lunch options, and warm, friendly service! A gem on H street.

I appreciate that the coffee is roasted in-house at Sidamo. The espresso had a mild burnt flavor too it, but not so much to make it undrinkable. It's very tight quarters inside the shop and was also quite warm on the day we visited. There's a small garden/patio with seating in the back.

Had the Sidamo Chai Laben - fun! Definitely has a unique kick.

Excellent small coffee and tea joint, the Chais are excellent. Definetly try their spiced Chai, it is well worth the wait! Breakfast items are also delightful. Seems to have escaped the gentrification happening around it, I can only hope it stays that way!

Wonderful coffee shop; one of the best places overall on H Street, and certainly the best cafe in NE. The owner is wonderful -- will not hesitate to give you a bit of cheek if you happen any faux pas. Great tea selection, and a fantastic outdoor area (the indoor section is often fairly cramped when busy, and it can be nice to spread out a bit outside).
