Very nice and welcoming place. I love their bubble teas, different kind of coffee, pastries... the small 'salon' has only 4 armchairs, alongside 16 of the room, but has shelves of books to read on site. Green plants here. The terrace is also nice. My only regret is that they close at 5pm on weekdays... Like almost any place, wifi is available.

This place is one of my absolute favorites. The staff is so kind and accommodating. They are always prompt in getting my drink out and treat you with the utmost respect. Their chai tea lattes are amazing and their coffee is fantastic. I would HIGHLY recommend!

Jacob's Coffee House has a remarkable sense of community and place. The owner, Jasmine, and the staff take an interest in everyone who arrives there, welcoming people from the neighborhood, across the district, and visiting from afar to settle in to the delightful space and enjoy wonderful drinks and food. Jasmine carefully selects the menu items and she and the staff prepare and serve them with equal care, offering Illy coffee, Dammann Tea, a couple of great breakfast platters, huge and fresh muffins, magnificent bagel sandwiches and paninis, and an array of delightful snacks. It's an excellent place to study, knock out some work, or gather with friends. In the morning, when the shop is fullest, the line moves quickly, but in the time you're there, you sense you are in a really special place.

Your heart wants to love Jacob's Coffee House, but your brain (and logic) just can't. It's a small, neighborhood coffee shop that's been around for years. The owners are very nice and they have been faithfully serving breakfast, pastries, and coffee. There's plenty of seating indoor and outdoor and they have wifi. They support the community by posting about neighborhood events. You just really want to love it, but then you eat there.
Their food and drinks aren't quality nor does it taste that good. My iced latte was burnt and my chocolate chocolate chip muffin was cold, slightly stale, and hard. Over the years, I've tried this same order at different times of the day and with different staff with the same result- an order than is sub par. With low quality food, you'd think it would be at least cheaper, but it's not. My order costs $9. What?
If you need wifi and a table, consider Jacob's, but don't think it defines DC's coffee culture. If you want DC's best, keep walking north to Maketto or Wydown on H Street NE.

I go to Jacob's every weekend. It's a relaxing setting with both indoor and outdoor seating, solid wi-fi, and some of the nicest staff in DC! They always greet me with a smile. Jacob's service is fast and the food is delicious. I am a sucker for their Italian French toast and bagel sandwiches.

This place's asiago breakfast sandwich was absolutely to die for. It was quick through pickup order. Their coffee selection was great too!! Definitely coming back when I'm in the area!!

I must second Phillips comments below, clearly the best latte on The Hill, and our community is blessed to have such wonderful and considerate members on Jasmines team. Let’s all support as we may, while we soon anticipate once again enjoying the patio.

Jazz the owner is a wonderful person who cares about her customers. Illy coffee is great, and if you join the rewards program you get a free bagel with cream cheese after 5 purchases.

Jacob's Coffee House is my absolute favorite go-to spot in Capitol Hill for a delicious hot Chai latte and an egg white sandwich. The Chai latte particularly is hands down the best Chai I've had in the entire city. The prices are very affordable ($5.99 breakfast sandwich!), the staff and new owner are super friendly, and the outdoor seating with the bright umbrellas is lovely during the warmer months. I spent several weekends of law school studying at the tables inside and Jacob's helpfully has great wifi if you need to work. Such a cozy neighborhood coffee shop and worth the trip if you don't live nearby!

I love this place! My office is about a block away and I feel so lucky to have such a great neighborhood option so close by. Jasmine, the owner, and her staff are awesome; she's made Jacob's into a warm, welcoming, neighborhood staple!
