Jacob's Coffee House

This is a great coffee house! The coffee is hot and ready and tastes really good. They have a lot of breakfast sandwiches to choose from as well as muffins and other morning sweets. They also serve teas and some juices if you are not a coffee person. It can be very crowded when the weather is nice, but if there is a short wait, it is worth it.

Wonderful neighborhood coffee shop. I work here several mornings a week and it is always warm, friendly, and always full of life. In nice weather, the outdoor patio is a great spot. It had some issues with the WIFI left over from the previous owners, but they recently upgraded the router and now the Internet is fantastic, too. Highly recommend it.

Their new Illy coffee is excellent, broad array of food and cozy inside seating, with an outside porch for nice days. Best of all is the service: consistent and efficient staff, and when my arm was in a sling they would assemble all my coffee and food in a carrier and get the door for me! When I forgot my wallet after ordering my daughter her hot cocoa they gladly offered for me to come back later and pay them, then tried to offer it on the house. Then a random patron was already at the cash register paying for it. Gracious staff. Gracious customers, even.

Iced chai tea latte was great. The service and setup…not so much. Instead of going to Starbucks for a meeting, we chose this location for a 1:00 coffee. The tables on the patio had the chairs locked up so we had to stand. When we asked to sit inside the lady was very rude and said no (totally fine if they aren’t allowing indoor dining because of covid). When I ordered, the lady taking my order acted as if I inconvenienced them by walking in to order.

Jacob's Coffee House is truly a phenomenal experience, and I'm not just saying that because I used to work there! In fact, I wanted to work there because of the personalized and intimate service, the decadent food, and delightfully satisfying drinks. I often restrained myself from constantly eating there. In all honesty, the owner is a hardworking, friendly, and truly wonderful person. I admired how she ran her business and I aspired to be much like her in how she interacted with customers. She is always on top of everything and makes sure to have all of her employees give 110% by example. Jacob's Coffee House is a warm place with even warmer food and drinks. I highly recommend their bubble teas/smoothies and mozzarella paninis.

Jacob's is a gem. It's great cafe with a mix of food and drinks and super convenient. Jasmine and Vanessa manage the cafe and they are awesome. They love serving their customers.

The cafe is a good spot to work and has some room to have meetings (the table next to the window can fit 4-5 people). There is a warm feel to the place. I go there regularly and will continue going.

I was in D.C. for the summer on an internship, and discovered this coffee shop my first weekend. LOVE IT! The staff is very friendly, the dark roast is smooth and delicious. I usually got either a sausage or bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on a croissant, and it was very tasty. They don't make the scrambled egg for it until you order it. You can watch them take the egg out of the carton and crack it - to order! I don't know if their muffins were made in-house too, but they were always soft and divine; sometimes I'd buy the muffin and eat it the next day and it was still perfect. If I'm ever back in D.C., I'll be visiting here again!
