Everything looked nice, great atmosphere. I stopped in and bought a couple muffins, they were stale...definitely not fresh. I didn't get anything else so I'll have to stop in and try a coffee so I can adjust this review. I normally wouldn't give a second chance but other reviews are so good I feel they deserve it.

This was my favorite spot when I lived on D NE. Really good french toast and breakfast sandwiches. Nice patio and new furniture. Friendly staff that know their regulars well.

Beware a $5 minimum for credit cards. If you just need a quick coffee be sure to bring a fiver.

Super cute place to grab a bite with a variety of food and drink options. The associates are friendly and the turn around time for your order is pretty quick. My boyfriend and I have had a number of things, most of which were very good (smoked salmon bagel, breakfast sandwich, French toast); the only thing we weren’t over the moon about was the chicken salad wrap.

Under new and wonderful management! Jacob's has a warm and friendly atmosphere, so it's great for conversations and working. The customer service is the kind you only see in old sitcoms, where someone takes pride in getting your order right and cares about your experience. Rather than a theme or a gimmick or various compilation albums on sale, Jacob's is your friendly neighborhood coffee shop. Good, reliable food, strong coffee, and casual, comfortable atmosphere. If you haven't been to Jacob's in a while, give it another try!

Loved the coffee and snacks we had at Jacob's! The coffee was just the right strength and super hot while the bagel and muffin were made to be enjoyed. I like the atmosphere and the decor of the coffee house and certainly plan on returning.

This is the best coffee shop on Capitol Hill. I come here every other weekend and spend hours reading/working. There is always a place to sit. The music is quiet and without words (soooo important). The food is excellent with healthy options! Their London Fog and Chai Tea Lattes are amazing. It's in a quaint, quiet area of Capitol Hill. So much to recommend here.

Wonderful "find" on Capitol Hill! Friendly, cheerful, efficient staff/owners. Great menu options for breakfast and lunch. Coffee is superb. Ambiance peaceful, inviting for lingering and chatting. Decor is inviting: classical music, plants, CNN(!), outdoor seating too! Rewards club for frequent visitors is a plus. You'll want to keep returning!

Our FREEelectrons.Family review: YUMMYLICIOUS! But I am having a price shock. After living years overseas and in countries with relatively cheaper food prices, I go back to my old breakfast place--Jacob's and have my usual.

Shock! $8.54 for a sausage, egg and cheese sandwhich on croissant (the bacon added $2.50, croissant +$0.75). A small capuccino was $4.

Wow! I cannot afford to eat out here anymore. But it was damn good SECsandwhich.

I just moved into the neighborhood and started going to Jacob's regularly. The owner is so sweet and friendly and has remembered my name since the 2nd time I came. She is kind to everyone. Jacob's uses fresh ingredients in their breakfast sandwiches, real fruit in their smoothies, and they serve GREAT cappuccinos. Definitely worth your visit!

Great neighborhood amenity! Jasmine is such a sweetheart, she and her staff greet me every time I visit and even remember my favorite orders. They serve Illy espresso coffees and offer a selection of muffins, bagels/sandwiches, and other drinks (hot tea and cold beverages). I have not used their WiFi but when I do visit there are about 5 people enjoying their cuppa and surfin'. They accept Apple Pay and also have a frequent buyer's "club" where you can earn a "star" for each purchase over $5. I can't wait to "cash" in my first set of 5 stars for a free bagel :)
