Jacob's Coffee House

Fantastic casual coffee shop with delicious breakfast and lunch sandwiches, bagels, and muffins/pastries! Every time we go in, we are welcomed with friendly faces and great service. Free wifi and plenty of space to sit and relax inside or on their patio. Unfortunately we are leaving the D.C. area and will miss this place the most. Also, please know the ownership changed about 18 months ago so any of the older poor reviews do not apply to this amazing crew!

Our cozy, friendly neighborhood cafe, I've been a regular for an year. Great coffee, smoothies, bubble teas, the sandwich and bagels are excellent. Has a patio, perfect for weekends and if you want to hang out with your pets. The staff is super friendly and very responsive.

Discovered Jacob’s while working on a job in the area. Always happy with what I’ve ordered. I order online and get a text when it’s ready, usually takes just a few minutes.

Excellent neighborhood coffee shop with a relaxed vibe. Current owner Jasmine took over the business from previous owner, and makes a great effort to learn many customer's name and favorite drink. She and her staff are always welcoming. Very pleasant coffee shop.

I visited this place today prior to getting my hair done at a shop across the street. I am not familiar with this coffee shop, but I wanted to purchase a muffin for breakfast. The menu outside of the shop did not have pastries listed so I decided to go around to the inside to see if they had pastries.

Upon entering was told very rudely that I could not be in there, that if I wanted something I had to call ahead. I explained that I was not from the neighborhood and that I didn't have the number to call ahead. She referred me to the signs on the front of the building and the menu. I explained the menu did not have pastries as an option. She proceeded to tell me to call rather than just take my order right there.

This was by far the worst customer service experience I've ever had. Clearly she had no interest in selling to me for whatever the reason. I will likely return to the salon for my hair, but I will not return to this coffee shop.

A great local Capitol Hill coffee shop! Very convenient and decent food! They have a great remote pickup system too to enforce social distancing! I really enjoy supporting them.

Very good espresso bit a hit to pricey. Nice atmosphere for working and. Nice classical music. Staff is very friendly and there is fresh fruit available to buy which is great. All in all nice neighborhood caffe I will come back in. I would recommend to put at least one standing table.

Jacob's Coffee House is absolutely amazing! Jasmine and her staff make your experience there wonderful, and the food and drinks are superb!! Definitely a top favorite in the neighborhood, have been coming here for years!

Jacob's is the best coffee shop in Capitol Hill! I used to (pre-COVID) come here regularly to get work done. There's always a place to sit, great ambiance, and the staff is awesome. Now I'm regularly ordering take-out and it's always ready quickly and is always accurate. Jacob's is a little pricier than other nearby spots, but it's worth the extra cost to support small local businesses. :)

This is my favorite coffee shop. The new owner and people who work there are so kind and welcoming, and the recently updated interior looks great. I work there on weekends, and bring my kids on the weekend and after school for snacks. Everyone feels welcome. Great coffee too!
