There are two sides of Ebenezers Coffeehouse. The first side is what it is- a coffee shop. Opened in 2006, it's one of the long-standing independent coffee shops in the city, especially as big brands like Blue Bottle and Gregory's move into D.C. It's in a 1908 corner building that used to be a diner that served Union Station travelers. It's two levels of seating (if you can't find a seat on the ground level, head to the basement) and an outdoor patio.

They serve fair trade, and often, organic coffee. They have a full coffee menu and have several tea options. Although their coffee is just okay, they shine with their chai latte. They also have pastries and breakfast items.

The other side of Ebenezers is a church side. It's owned by National Community Church and you'll see books by their pastor for sale on the cafe level. They also host church and community events in their basement. If it's not your world, it's something to note!

Excellent coffee and exceptional customer service. Staff all had face coverings, which made some people feel more comfortable due to covid...clean place and nice seating arrangements, inside and outside. Highly recommend this place.

Post-Christmas spirit Ebenezer. Affordable ($3.50) pour over, $2.50 pumpkin muffin, croissants not so great. Quality, warm, friendly.

Great local neighborhood coffee shop! Very warm and inviting with delicious coffee and a location that is truly unmatched! If you’re ever in need of a good cup of power go here!

Stayed for Bible study and KFC chicken meal, salad, chips, potato bread and pastries. We are about to have a godly time.

The baristas are very friendly! I got a caramel freezer (a coffee caramel blended ice drink) with oat milk and extra caramel, and it was delicious.

Quiet and spacious coffee shop close to Union Station. Free WiFi and mellow music. Very impressive list of lattes and rotating brew menu. They have an event space downstairs with TVs and stage for music performances. Good for groups and for killing time before hopping on your train at Union Station. People talk loudly here but it’s not the coffee shop’s fault 🤷🏻‍♀️.
