Review of Kaisy's Delights

Kaisy's Delights: A European-inspired Breakfast and Coffee Shop

Kaisy's Delights is a charming breakfast and coffee shop located in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. This cozy eatery offers a unique menu that combines European-inspired dishes with classic American breakfast staples. The restaurant is open seven days a week, with varying hours depending on the day.

The menu at Kaisy's Delights is diverse, with options ranging from sweet to savory. The signature dish is the Kaisy, a chopped-up pancake served with a variety of toppings, including fruit, whipped cream, and savory options like pierogi and sandwiches. The restaurant also serves coffee drinks, smoothies, and ice cream.

The interior of Kaisy's Delights is colorful and inviting, with pink and green accents that create a bright and cheerful atmosphere. The restaurant is perfect for a casual breakfast or brunch with friends or family.

While the food at Kaisy's Delights is generally well-received, some customers have noted that the prices can be a bit high. Additionally, a few reviewers have mentioned that some dishes, like the latkes and Kaisy, were reheated in a microwave rather than being freshly made. However, many customers have praised the restaurant's unique menu and friendly service.

If you're looking for a cozy breakfast spot with a European twist, Kaisy's Delights is definitely worth a visit. Whether you're in the mood for a sweet or savory breakfast, this charming eatery has something for everyone.

My first time here in a couple of years and they are still great. Try their ganache-based hot cocoa that has a hint of cinnamon. We ordered the latkes and a breakfast sandwich in a kaiser roll. Good range of real cheeses (I can’t do that orange plastic stuff and happily these guys have cheddar, swiss, feta). You will be carefully guided through the construction of your sandwich by the host. Follow him!
They are super kid friendly and have coloring materials, mini rocking chairs and Austrian hats for play. The only change I would ask of this place is to stop issuing plastic cutlery and move to something more sustainable like wood, compostable materials or best of all, actual silverware.

Tried this place on a lark, and it was an extremely good choice. Best hot chocolate I've had in ages. The signature Kaisy dish is light, fluffy, and not overly sweet (though you can get it with ice cream if you need additional sugar!). The latkes were divine and the applesauce seemed to be homemade - soooo good. Breakfast sandwich was excellent. A fantastic breakfast to eat on the beach. I will return for sure!

Great food. Although they are known for their Austrian style pancakes you definitely have to try their breakfast sandwiches. They are made only on Kaiser rolls but let me tell you they are the best kaiser rolls I have ever had. They are soft and not your typical hard crusted top that tear up your mouth and gums. They are perfection. Their Kaisy's are worth a try too. And if you are not sure, ask them for a sample. They are always willing to let you try them and explain all the different ways you can customize yours. Or just have it plain and simple with just the powdered sugar.

Staff was dry and helpful, not the most friendly but did their job fine. Little pricy and the food was a little bland and the potatoes could have been cooked more. It was an ok breakfast

Delicious and a wonderful experience!!!! The owner personally waited on us. We had the grilled chicken sandwich and a chicken salad sandwich. Both sandwiches were excellent. Both had very fresh special French style rolls.

For dessert we had a Kaisy Sundae. It was like super good bread pudding and delicious tasting ice cream, chocolate sauce and whipped cream.

Highly Recommend Kaisy's.

I went there with my family for the first time this weekend. It is a cozy little place and we were immediately welcomed with a hello and kind smile from the employees. While we were deciding what to order we were given a sample of their latkes. Everything was very delicious, the staff were friendly and it was a cozy and clean location that I will definitely be going back to.

When I tried to order a gluten free Kaisy (which is advertised on their menu and I’ve ordered several times before) I was told that they were “not making them.” When I asked why, and if this was a temporary change in the menu or permanent I was not offered any reason whatsoever…in fact there was basically silence on the other end of the phone. As I pressed the issue, I was met with more silence and was never offered the courtesy of an apology. This is more than an issue of not being able to order a Kaisy, we have had other service issues before. However, we kept trying to give them the benefit of the doubt but that will no longer be the case.

I wanted to love this place. The reviews were so good!! I never post reviews, but after our family paid $79 for breakfast, I wanted to leave a buyer beware review.

We ordered the breakfast sandwiches that got amazing reviews… I get it. Inflation, etc. But if I pay 10.50 for a sandwich, I expect it to be (a) as advertised (none of the 5 sandwiches we ordered had the cucumber or caramelized onions advertised) and (b) a decent portion of food (couldn’t find the cheese and barely any egg). Was the taste good? Yes, but without any of the touches advertised to make them unique, it wasn’t worth the price.

I paid $4 more and got two meals worth of amazing Mexican food for dinner two nights before in the same area. I get it, apples and oranges, but both were small businesses and one left me proud to have supported them and the other made my last meal of vacation with my family miserable. I’m just so frustrated to have been “taken for a ride” like that. I want to support small business, but not when they do things like that.
