The Bean @226

The Bean @226 is absolutely the place that you want to be. Everything about this coffee shop puts a smile on my face.
Back when we were house hunting in 2018, we knew that we wanted to live in Windsor, CT because of the beauty in the center of town, a core part of which was the quintessential downtown coffee shop that feels like home-away from home. I'm happy to say that I live in Windsor and go to The Bean @226 at least once a week to get my coffee fix and to just absorb the culture of this small and diverse town.

The owner always has a smile, good energy, and kind words for all guests. And you know that the vibe is right because there's a water dish outside for dogs and benches for anyone to relax and socialize under the shade on a wide sidewalk.

When you stop in, yourself whatever coffee or tea makes you happy, buy yourself a crystal, and get a card to send to your mom. Just enjoy your day by taking 20 minutes at The Bean @226.

A suggestion: Ask for a “Fluffy." It's a cold puffed espresso drink. I like one pump of lavender and two pumps of vanilla. Enjoy.

The coffee is better than Starbucks and Dunkin and the sweet tea is better than McDonald’s they have amazing customer service and are willing to work with you through anything that you need desire or want They have fast pace and slow if you need it and they are absolutely awesome at what they do and I love their coffee

Very welcoming staff with a big smile. I stayed there to work because I had a lunch meeting nearby. After my meeting I went back and continue to work.
The cafe closes at 3:00 PM, but they let me borrow an extension cord and let me use their outside electric outlet until I was done with work around 06:00 PM.
Great energy there.

Awesome local coffee shop. The kind you look for and expect for a small downtown center. Friendly, artistic, super delicious options of food and drink, great ownership and staff - all very dedicated to our local community. A must visit for any coffee shop lover near or far!

Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere, there are also benches and tables outside perfect for summer weather. I'm not a big coffee drinker, but I had a iced French vanilla latte and a cherry lemonade that I enjoyed. They have a good selection with non caffeine drinks.

Delicious drinks and a welcoming atmosphere. The Bean is one of Windsor's gems!

Found this spot on my way home from work. Got the raspberry and mango hot chocolates as well as an egg nog dirty chai latte and they were incredible!! But the BEST part was the akee Jamaican patty and the poppy seed muffin. The akee was the perfect amount of spicy to enjoy and savor. What a gem! Will be back.

So many great coffee options, definitely a must visit.

So amazing and wonderful place to stop by a coffee!!! I buy a coffee chocolate mango was super incredible and a Lox Bagel was Phenomenal. Taste so good plus of that is super clean and the Customer Service is the BEST!!!

Best mocha latte in town. Charming home town café, a favorite place to stop and enjoy Windsor.
