I had been taking classes nearby for nearly a year without a cafe in proximity I liked. Alas, today I was on my way to Starbucks. To my good fortune, I noticed this cafe along my way. There were a couple tables outside, a man's bike parked, large windows that framed what looked like tastefully furnished seating inside. I had to kill time, so I ordered a couple espressos and a coffee - perhaps not the best decision given it's late afternoon, but I had them all black, and they were brewed quite well. They are new since November and don't offer much yet beyond crepes on the weekends, waffles, baked goods, gelato, that sort, but there are gluten free options (not for me, but figured it's worth mentioning) and I was told they were trying to bring in more food. Anyways, it appeared the man with the bike was a regular customer, given that he biked in mid-day traffic, and it appears I might be returning as well.
Rumors cafe has been one of my favorite spots in Danbury since it's opening. Tucked away on Mill Plain Road, it's a treasure to be discovered with wonderful service, quaint atmosphere, and delicious hand crafted beverages. They're taking all necessary precautions during the pandemic while still maintaining their homey vibe. Rumors is a great place for work, relaxation, and interesting conversation. I cannot recommend Rumors enough.
We spent some time in this place! We had a lot of coffee (espresso) and played a lot with some tableboards (remembered a lit bit of our childhood). Was raining, and was a perfect day to sit and enjoy coffee and muffins.
The espresso is very well prepared!
The only thing is, they don’t have “salty food”, so.. we’re hungry, and we had just muffins. If there was more options of food, probably I was going to take my friends to enjoy with us.
The best coffee shop around, super friendly and cozy, with an awesome vibe. Me and my wife made into our weekend tradition to have breakfast here. Great crapes and pastries but my absolute favorite is the Vannila Bean Latte. Really spetacular!
Happy to find this place- good coffee and treats, friendly service and nice atmosphere. Owner clearly has a Star Wars affinity and finds cute ways to work references into the menu. I usually just grab something and go, but on the miraculous day I have some time to go sit and relax, I plan to do so here.
We came all the way from New Jersey and stopped for a coffee. Different flavor coffe to choose from and great pastries. Service is superb too. Nutty Professor is highly recommended 👍
This is a cute little coffee shop. It reminds me of one back home in southern Georgia. It has half a dozen tables . There are books to read on a book cart and there are games to play. There are small gifts that you can buy and there's some pastries that are available for purchase. As for the coffee, it was okay, but it was weak. I am used to a very strong cup of coffee and this was not . The help was nice . They did have a sign up saying they were closing early today. try any of the baked goods, so I can't comment.
Coffee takes a while to get to you, but it's amazing and delicious. Staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is very calming. Their large iced coffee is comically big. I suggest the laté, but you're solid getting anything from there really.
Best coffee house in Danbury! If you appreciate a real barrista-style latte, this is the spot. Delicious drinks, hot or cold. Coffee is great and atmosphere is warm and inviting. A hidden gem. Love this place!!!

Previously gave them 3 stars. They've improved food and beverage quality a lot since then. Great oat cappuccino and pecan bar!
