They sell a broad variety of coffee beans (optionally ground), all roasted in house; chances are that you will smell a batch that's roasting when you are there. They also sell brewed coffee (type changes from day to day) and espresso drinks, a few snacks (biscotti, etc.) some coffee filters, and an interesting collection of antiques. We've tried every roaster we could find in the area. Coffee Trade has more coffees that fit our taste than anyone else. Highly recommended.

Probably the best coffee shop I've been to in Connecticut. The flavor/taste is unmatched. A must-try!

Great place to pick up coffee. Dick and Joan are wonderful as are Lenny, Celia and all the staff. They roast their own beans as well as make iced drinks, hot, every flavor you could want.

Best Coffee Shop on the Planet. Coffee is roasted on-site, it's delicious, the owners know everything there is to know about coffee, and they are fabulous and fun people, and they have organic and water-processed coffees. The tea selection is addictive (try the Harney Hot Cinnamon Spice!). They sell gifts and antiques. They support several causes (be sure to buy the special soaps - what a win/win. The proceeds go to a good cause, and the soaps make great gifts, but you'll want to keep them for yourself). You can sit in the back and do a little work, or have a cuppa with a friend or two. You can be efficient or tarry, you can get a plain coffee or one of a good number of specialty coffees. For home, I get a pound of half regular coffee and half decaf (ground to order, as all their coffee is). I make a pot in the morning, and then use their single cup brewer to make a cup in the afternoon - for a little pick-me-up that doesn't give me the jitters.

This is bar far the best coffee shop I have ever been to, and I have been to many. The owners of this store, Dick and Joan, don’t just make you feel welcome - they make you feel like family. They are super knowledgeable about the kinds of coffee, the different brews, and even roast their own beans. My friends and family seek me out for the coffees I make with Coffee Trade’s beans. Folks will try their flavored coffees, like streusel cake or butterscotch toffee, claiming they don’t like flavored coffees, only to drink it down quckly and ask me for another - lol. And the iced specialty drinks they make are so good, I haven’t found any place else that even comes close to replicating their deliciousness.
I have been going to The Coffe Trade for over 20 years! They have NEVER disappointed!!
If you have never been, you absolutely should visit them - beans, coffees, antiques too, and the cutest little gift ideas, some coffee related and others not. Enjoy! I know you will ☕️!!

My number 1 coffee shop. Coffees are roasted on site, flavored coffees are made with extracts added to beans, not sugary syrups. Daily selections, specialty coffee drinks, teas, coffee and tea accessories available. Walk in the back and relax at a table, antiques for sale in the back rooms.

Freshest roasted coffee. I get a mix of 50% regular dark Sumatra and 50% decaf dark Sumatra whole beans.. It's outstanding coffee and the people are great!

The owner really knows and loves coffee. They are constantly roasting, the beans I buy are roasted very recently, I would guess within 2 days of purchase. The coffee produced is the best I have found.
