A lovely place to grab a coffee and a pastry before/after a hike in the area (we actually did both!).

We wound up in Nederland because Boulder Falls was closed and we decided to just keep driving til the next town. The town is a cool little mountain town and this coffee shop was great! They were very nice and made excellent coffee. They didn't charge for a cup of milk either which I thought was very nice.

Best coffee ever. Great staff. Great food. Surprised to find this place tucked up in Nederland. If you go to ski Eldora, be sure to stop in, Their coffee is supercharged and will have you extra-stoked for your turns.

I am torn on this review. I was referred to this place by a local and I was eager to try you guys out. While I never actually got to the window nor did I ever get to even order, the treatment received by locals while waiting in line was appalling. I know that a small community like Nederland its easy to see when someone is an outsider. Its true, i was an outsider. My father, son and I were all berated because we did not have masks, outside, standing in line. One lady said they will not serve you because you do not have masks. I according to governor rules, masks are required for entering an establishment. The same lady said she knew the owners well and that there was no way we would be served. When the guy at the front of the line walked away from the window with his food and no mask, she had no response. We just went to our vehicle and left. Good job Nederland, you must not need tourism money! Everyone stay away from this community. They will not welcome any outsiders! New Moon, sorry for this review as I feel that your own customers took your opportunity to serve us away from you. But alas, it happened in your line, so you get the review.

The bagel egg and cheese sandwich was absolutely delicious. I also really, really loved the almond croissant. The churo donut really did taste like a churo. Can't speak for the coffee but the loose leaf tea selection was great.

Nothing not wonderful about this place. Fantastic food, drink, staff, ambiance, location, and and and! Tons of gluten free options.

But what sent me over the edge into true fandom was an extraordinary experience with their customer service. I'd had a visit I was less than enthused about, and wrote an email to the cafe. Peter responded right away, gracious and grateful for my feedback. He and the staff then launched into a full audit of their GF bread sourcing & pricing, keeping me in the loop as to what options they were exploring. These updates were unsolicited; he was so committed to improving his cafe and collaborating with the community that he went out of his way to email me periodically.

I was blown away by that level of dedication and kindness, and I'll be going out of my way to stop there every time I'm in Ned to support them, whether I'm hungry or not. Realistically though...there's always room for GF carrot cake :)

This restaurant, in the charming town of Nederland, Colorado, has an extensive gluten free, vegan and DELICIOUS menu. I ordered a sandwich on gluten free bread and a piece of gluten free carrot cake. My husband ordered a sandwich on regular bread. Both were generously filled with the freshest of vegetables, cheese and meat. The carrot cake achieved that impossible miracle of being rich and moist with no hint it was gluten free. We sat in their outdoor eating area while the breeze and dappled sunlight relaxed our frazzled " we just survived driving on mountain roads" nerves.
We tilted our heads up to receive the sun's rays and watched the people of this fine town walk by. When we drove down the mountain from Estes Park three days later, we stopped and ate there again. Literally not to be missed.

Our night was pretty bitter. It was our first time (EVER) winter camping. As you can imagine, we didn't get much sleep and this morning was a little miserable (the wind alone nearly broke my tent). On our way to Boulder Falls, CO, we decided to stop and get some coffee. There are a couple cute little cafes in Nederland but there was just something about New Moon Bakery & Cafe that pulled us in. When we first walked through the door, we were greeted with a huge welcoming smile and the delicious smell of coffee and baked goods. The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and comforting. It almost has that sort of home-like feeling to it.
**For all you Vegans out there, New Moon Bakery & Cafe has vegan options! They also have soy, almond, coconut, and rice milk options.

Neat little coffee shop with so many fresh bakery items along with gluten free items to satisfy any sweet tooth! The sweet spicy chai was fabulous and the espresso was organic. Wish we could have sat and enjoyed our treats. Would definitely go back!

Food is amazing, coffee is wonderful, staff is THE BEST.

We are sitting here now enjoying a Mushroom Melt (yummmmm), a breakfast wrap, a creme brulee latte and a cappuccino. Wish we had second stomachs so we could order everything again ;) -- wish I'd taken pictures of the food but it was too good and I forgot.

If you find yourself in Nederland, you gotta stop by.
