New Moon Bakery and Cafe

The perfect place to stop if you are passing through Nederland and need coffee or small eats. They have a full menu of espresso drinks (think Starbucks but better), very creative made-to-order sandwiches, and a veriety of pastries. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Bonus: there are nice (and free) public bathrooms just across the street. Also, parking around this cafe is very easy, as there are both parking lots and on-street parallel parking.

Really good. Stopped there for some lunch while on a fall drive with my sister and her dog. I asked if they could set aside some bacon for her dog, which they did. Very kind of them. Not sure how my sisters food was, no complaints. My mozzarella, tomato, crescent was really good. Cami loved her bacon.

Awesome local spot! Delicious bakeries and coffee! Such a friendly vibe. Just so perfect if you’re driving through. Get the monkey bread!

I must have missed something here. The iced latte was bitter and quite mediocre. The toasted everything bagel and cream cheese was extremely dry. Don't know if it was old, over toasted or both but it was not good. I would have taken it back but it was busy and I didn't want to wait

We stopped here while travelling thru Colorado. The place is small and cosy. Coffee was fine but the Croissant didn't taste like Croissant. I live in europe where bakeries are an important part of the morning ritual and happen to be in Italy the month before so either this bakery got the reciepe wrong or it was a bad luck. Croissant should be crunchy and the layers way thinner.
Comparing to Germany prices were 2 times as high!

Great breakfast sandwiches and pastries. Not a huge fan of the coffee or croissants, but I’m extremely picky on those so I won’t change my star rating lol. The staff is very nice and even if someone has a rough day I’m impressed by how they handle feedback.

I'll be back to try it again but today just made me sad. My cookie was rock hard to the point i only ate half of it which is bad because i never leave a cookie unfinished. And what was labelled as a "chocolate macaroon" was literally an icecream scoop of coconut covered in chocolate.

That said, service was quick, the people were nice, soda was cold, lemon poppy seed bread was good. Price was on par with other mountain towns.

When I was visiting Colorado we stayed in Nederland. If we ever needed something to perk us up in the morning and we didn’t have it at the AirBnB, we would go here. This please has some very well made pastries and good drinks. Good stuff!

Not sure how this place has so many amazing reviews, maybe the coffee is good but the pastries definitely are not. The owners are rude and didn't follow covid 19 precautions while baking for their customers, we saw them baking with masks down around the neck or off the face completely, and they responded very rudely when being called out on it. You put your customers at risk then act rudely to them? Sorry not good business practice. Putting that whole thing completely aside, it still isn't good.
We were excited to get a present from our new neighbors of cinnamon rolls from this bakery when we moved into town as it is one of the first things you see, and who doesnt like fresh baked goods. They were tasteless with minimal frosting, but we were very thankful for the gift. Wait about a week and we go inside to try a different pastry and once again it was like eating cardboard, no exaggeration. Zero taste. We have tried the Croissants, the peach pastry and the cinnamon rolls and all were tasteless and blah. I have zero issues with tasting food, my tatste buds work fine. So beware, a waste of money unless you like eating cardboard. To each their own though 🤷🏼‍♀️

While visiting for a week I tried a new thing from this cafe almost daily, and everything I had was amazing, they were never rude about me coming in close to closing time, and the barista suggested drinks were all delicious! Highly recommend!
