What a gem to find on my way to work! This is worth every wait and then some! You know you’re a good spot when they have the best iced drinks tops! Thank you to the crew for maintaining an extremely calm atmosphere even when it gets super crowded- naturally! This is a coffee shop that proves to you it’s better to have a line out the door than serving quickly without care- it shows!

I work nearby and stopped in to try a lavender latte at lunch today for an afternoon pick-me-up. I got the best latte I've ever had. The coffee was delicious and the lavender flavor was perfect - sweet without being artificial. The barista was friendly and the atmosphere of the cafe was so relaxing. I love how they have real mugs if you order your drink to stay. So glad I found this place! I will be back often.

Quiet and comfy coffee shop. The barista was very friendly. I ordered an oatmilk caramel latte, and it was perfect temperature and flavour - not too sweet. Great location in cute street and walkable to restaurants and other businesses.

Stopped in this morning, so glad I did! I got a Iced Lavender Oat Latte and a chocolate croissant, both are delicious! They have a full single orgin menu which is great! Super friendly and hardworking baristas!

OMG. Their coffee is to die for, but I recently discovered something called a Lavender London Fog. With their homemade syrups this was leveled up to a place I have only achieved in my own kitchen (I brew my Earl Grey extra strong with a Vanilla Bean, Some Lavender buds and sweeten with raw local honey—hard to top that!). Wait a few minutes for the extra strong steep and do add the lavender. It tastes so good!!!! Monk and Mongoose, as always, delivers perfection!!!! Oh how I have missed this place! Seattle has nothing on the Mile High City when it comes to noteworthy craft coffee and craft tea concoctions!!!! Order it just like the pic. Can’t wait to spend my coffee/tea allowance with you guys when we get back permanently!!! Special thanks to Emma, Barista Extraordinaire!!!!

I absolutely love Sweet Bloom coffee and I'm so happy to be able to buy a bag here and also enjoy a latte using sweet bloom at monk and mangoose. The staff are very sweet and friendly and today the lovely barista answered all the questions I had about brewing and steaming milk.
The atmosphere is very calm and clean and very enjoyable.
I'm so glad to have this place at DTC.
Thank you Monk and mangoose.

OMG, this place nailed it. Monk & Mongoose is a busy little cafe. They have an assortment of teas and coffee drinks. I ordered the iced Chai with honey water and it was deliciously sweet. The tea was light, creamy and the cinnamon powdered ice cubes added the perfect amount of flavor & spice. I also had a chocolate chip scone which was not too sweet and crumbled up nicely so that I could eat it in pieces. I didn’t notice the full selection of tea choices until after I had ordered but I would definitely stop by again when in the neighborhood to try out other selections.

I hate to give them a bad score because I’ve come here many times and liked it. Today was very different. I was over charged on both coffees I bought. The receipt said extra shot and 24 oz up charge. Neither of us asked for an extra shot and my cup was 16oz. The sammie I got took over 15 minutes and was bland it was gross. They should have at least toasted it. Also my drink was lukewarm 🤮. Overall horribly disappointed and don’t think I will ever come back.

Lol! You have to spend $100 here to earn enough points to get a free espresso beverage. So that's 27 cortados to get a free cortado. Feels like a slap in the face, a cruel joke, or perhaps just a treatise on the dark side of post-Covid capitalism.
Ultimately the espresso here ranges pretty widely based on the barista (not as much for the other Monk & Mongoose). Inconsistency takes Sweet Bloom's otherwise mighty fine roast and turns it into a mediocre beverage on more than half of my visits, and the milk (like most places) is a cheap selection even though it comprises 50% or more of all espresso-based drinks.
The staff have always been friendly although sometimes inattentive or simply busy and missing in the back early morning, facility always clean.

Coffee is good, but the area is often crowded when I go. This is not a work cafe. This is a sit and chat or sit and read place. The service is on par with other cafes in the area, so there is no issue there. It's good for a quick meeting, friends, or date setting.
