Wonderful atmosphere. Grab a book and relax in the variety of seating. The new honey latte - amazingly smooth and delicious. Purchase a sticker while you're there to support them! My son got the strawberry smoothie. It may have been the best smoothie I've ever tasted! A hint of apple juice and banana, and oh-so-fresh. Off the path, but worth it for the kind staff and local vibe.
Friendly local coffee house always good to support local instead of big corporations like Starbucks. The coffee was great service amazing and a great atmosphere to chill. Also had a bagel which was pretty impressive for Colorado
Atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, the staff is amazing and super friendly! They really get to know their customers and it makes me love them even more! Oh - and most importantly their coffee tastes so bold and smooth. Not over roasted and bitter like most coffee joints. Definitely recommend.
Great place, delicious coffee. The man that I assume is the owner had courteous and friendly. And he knows the drinks very well, taking care to make it the way you asked for it.
I would highly suggest this coffee shop, especially if you're looking for a quiet spot to work or hang out.
This coffee shop is kind of starting to grow on me. I enjoy going to a new coffee shop for my chai's. When you walk into Gonzo's, it's got a kind of old rustic feel to it. Their skis new and old up on the walls and it's very peaceful and quiet every time I've been inside. I'd highly suggest going to this coffee shop in Summit County if you're looking for some peace and quiet
It was okay. My chai latte was nothing spectacular, the hours are strange and somewhat inconvenient, and there was no music or background noise of any kind. Atmosphere was kind of stuffy. Stars for good tables and a decent drink; I'd imagine it's wonderfully cozy in the winter.
Took a trip to Frisco over the holiday. I thought gonzo' s coffee would be a good place to get some early morning coffee. Well it turns out it is not. The owner was very rude to me and my friend. The employees didn't seem to be happy with there jobs. The coffee tasted bland and the pastry was as hard as a rock.
I'm a local and a Hunter S. Thompson fan so I really wanted to love this place.
I ordered a toasted bagel with cream cheese and an earl grey tea from a very nice barista who made sure I didn't need anything else. She was genuinely kind and helpful. My order came super quick, but I would have waited longer for some attention to detail. The bagel was a little chewy from staleness, my jaw was a bit sore afterwards, and the cream cheese was separate... if I just wanted the ingredients I would have gone to the store. What's the point of paying extra for someone to make your food if you have to make it? The only time I've ever seen this is at those cheap hotel free breakfasts. If you don't put the cream cheese on it as soon as it leaves the toaster then it cools off the bagel instead of the toasted bagel warming and smoothing it. But, not a big deal. I didn't complain.
The tea was filled to the very top so not only did it immediately spill out of the lid and burn me, but there was no room to add honey, milk, etc.
When I did sit down to relax and enjoy my breakfast, there was a very loud family taking up all the attention in the room. Grandparents, kids, moms. There were about 6 other ppl sitting silently solo like me, but apparently this family was under the impression that we were in a bar, not a library and that they were headlining a show they thought the rest of us wanted to watch.
So I scarfed my bagel down and got out of there, even though I was planning on sitting on my laptop for a while and ordering more. I wish the staff had stepped in, because the place was pretty cleared out when I was leaving. I can only assume I wasn't the only one looking for some peace and quiet. Brought my tea to the car, it was still (by far) way too hot to drink so I set it in my cup holder... not really considering the fact that it's too full. Now half of it is spilled in my car.
With a name like Gonzo, it could have been a lot weirder too instead of basic with it's menu, which was a bit disappointing as well. If Hunter S. Thompson saw a pumpkin spiced latte he would probably order one just to throw it on the ground.
Even though I'm risking sounding like a privileged brat because these small things were not to my liking, I also think it's important to have standards and not waste people's time and money or put them in any physical pain. I went out looking for a place to relax and instead I got the opposite. I don't think I'll be returning any time soon.
We asked Google for the best rated coffee in Frisco. We were not disappointed. Great atmosphere, kind service, and one of the best cups of coffee I have had in some time away from home! Run, don't walk, to visit Gonzo.

Cozy stop on our way to Denver. Place to lounge and enjoy a good cup of coffee
