Coffee is ok. I was paying cash and put two dollars in the tip jar before paying. My order came to $10.01 and I had a $10 bill. The barista insisted I pay the penny which I didn’t have. So I had to break a larger bill. This may seem like a first world problem, but I’ve never had a business do this before when paying cash, even when the change total has been $0.05-$0.10, and this experience really rubbed me the wrong way. When a business is given a discount by accepting cash and avoiding the 3% credit card fee, plus I’m subsidizing their underpaid employees, I’d figure they could eat the penny. It probably cost them more to provide change anyways. Go figure.

The inside is so bright and airy. See pictures. I got a mocha granita (blended with ice) and my husband got a chai granita. I could still taste the espresso through the chocolate, and it's tasty. The chai is strong but in a good way. Most chais tend to get watered down with ice, but theirs held up. We also bought some Sumatra dark roast to try at home. The fact that they roast with solar pleases me, as I have solar panels on my house too. I will be back for sure, much better than the overpriced Starbucks that used to be here.

Swung through on a sleepy Sunday morning around 8:30. The staff was super friendly and very quick to get orders out the door. Had a very solid light roast coffee paired with this equally solid bagel. Will definitely be my go-to quick breakfast in the Springs.

Great service, great food and great coffee. I originally got a drink that was a little too sweet for me and the baristas were kind enough to make me a delicious latte for free. Thanks Solar Roast!

Great coffee! Charming decor. Handpainted walls, only had Coffee.

Conveniently near the Tesla supercharger in Colorado Springs. Dropped in by chance and liked the vibes: music, barista, records for sale before the register and the beefy bags of coffee beans wish we would have taken home.

Recommend stopping in if you’re stopping for a charge or in the area.

This is such a cute, friendly and hipster lil Cafe! Great food selections and yummy coffee beverages.

I’ve frequented this coffee shop almost every day for the last couple years. I was sad to see as I walked in to pick up my morning coffee, a sign stating “no guns”. Although it is within their right as a business to ban guns, I find it disgusting and un-American for any business to discriminate against people exercising their second amendment. I will be taking my business elsewhere going forward.

Got a iced vanilla late, it was excellent. I went on a recommendation from Cocao chemistry down the street, and I'm glad I went!

Poor customer service. Watched the baristas talk for 10 minutes while not making my drink. Observed them making faces like children at other patrons during my wait. where are the grownups?
