Free non-collecting art museum. Great light food and drinks with a roof deck. Conveniently located and never crowded.

Update March 2022. They held a Warhol show which took up about 70% in the museum, which was fantastic, and free. Admittedly they didn't have any of the little signs beside the pictures telling you what they were, or much description in the catalog, and even the diagrams matching the names of the works with the location on the wall were a bit of a puzzle, but, Warhol, good, free. They didn't have everything, but they had a lot.

Im a “normal” guy from florida. This was not my taste - might be yours - I didn’t fit in here.

The museum building is great. They display various artists at any given day. Be careful to read the signs around, the day we visited they had adult content art, not suitable for children which made an awkward for my teen. The art pieces were ok, not to my taste though! It's free to enter, you can however tip while going out. Rating based on the art.

Wonderful art museum with an exceptionally friendly and informative staff!

I didn’t hate it. It did rob me of some precious minutes of my life, including the few I spend writing this, but hopefully this and other reviews that will undoubtedly be in the same vein will cause the artistic director to change her perspective some. The building itself is a work of art and beautiful. The sparse collection that inhabits the building only makes the building seem that much more aesthetically pleasing. The pieces we saw ranged from large mixed media works to small oils, all contemporary abstracts. Aside from a couple of works that exhibited incredible technique, the rest seemed unworthy to hang in a gallery. Go visit the commercial art galleries for incredible contemporary art. The best way to enjoy those is to tell the art dealer up front - “I am not interested in buying. I’m just looking.”

To call this an “art” museum is the most generous thing I’ve ever heard. The exhibits included some rectangles I originally thought were outlets for the building, a mirror, a swing, a video of a hand, and about 3 more exciting exhibits in the entire 4 story building. It’s free, but it feels like they took something from you.

Great architecture. Some of the exhibitions are good but overall a little disappointing. I don't think the lack of money is the issue. Also: do you really need to ask for everyone's name and zip code when buying a $1 pencil in the museum store?

If you like looking at things that make no sense, then come here. Seriously the artists have 0 standards for what is considered good. It’s all just weird and people like to pretend that it’s cool because its not normal. Don’t come unless you want to piss 2 hours away in a toilet.

We spent about 15 minutes here. The exhibits were disappointing. They claimed they had a sculpture garden upstairs. I didn't see any sculptures, just a garden.
