Great place! Food was delicious and service was outstanding. Every day they have a new menu. Price is very very reasonable for the quality of the food that you get. Food is served family style and they keep bringing whatever you like!

Fantastic food, great service, casual atmosphere and family style serving. The chef decides what's cooking each day, you just decide if you want it. Clue: you do. We had nothing but amazing dishes (see review pics). The truffle dumpling add-on made the meal for us - wife wiped the sauce up with the (amazing) bread. Staff was super helpful and nice. Will totally come back.

I should mention, my wife had a total ratatouille moment with the dessert, took her back to her childhood. You can't buy that for money.

Trust the chef. Sit back and enjoy.

Not recommended for dinner, but I will be back to try their fried chicken for brunch. The kale salad for a starter, beef ragu tagliatelle for a main, and tiramisu for a dessert were all basic and all a bit off balance in taste. The same goes with the wine pairing, the quality of wines in which was not unlike low to mid-range wines off of Trader Joe’s and did not always work well with the dish. Having said that, I loved the family style, our waiter and the ambience. Attire smart casual. Overall, not recommended as there are better choices around for the cost (e.g. Bouchon Bistro, RH).

Got a reservation days before New Year's Eve, as a 4 course dinner. Salad, roasted chicken, cheese board and lemon cheese cake. Also a great Kenzo wine. Nice menu in a family setting dinner. Reser actions are required. Hopefully, next time in other restaurants of same chef T. Keller

Not sure why our meal was just super salty. The wait wasn't long since we had a reservation. We were all starving and we were hoping for the buttermilk fried chicken, but it wasn't this monday. Half way into our meal we saw a table got the fried chicken. We did see a few other tables ask what was going on. So we were told that they were friends of the owners. I don't think it was right that they should serve that item on the menu to just one table, while everyone of us watched it. Besides the rest of the menu wasn't the best pairing at all.

- Creamed spinach was super salty the crispy onions helped with some of the salt level.
- Beans covered were nice and big but still it was a bit salty
- Pork loin was salty with out the bbq sauce and it help covered the taste.
- Clam bake with was nothing special and overcooked.
- Milk ice cream the pairing of this blonde was the cookie was hard and the ice cream didn't melt much with the hot cookie.

Sadly I heard very good things from my siblings and friends, but then it was just a overly salty meal. Maybe next time when we come visit from out of town it would be a better pairing.

Fantastic service and fantastic food. Would definitely come back. Monday was fried chicken night and it was some of the best fried chicken I've ever had and I'm from Texas. Wonderful sides as well must go if you are in the area.

Was pretty disappointed by this 1 michelin starred restaurant. The service was great and the ingredients were fresh. However the cost doesn't justify the low quality of food taste. The main course of beef rib was dry and lacked flavor. The bread was not all that great. The clams were pretty good. The lettuce salad was extremely fresh and tasted great all on its own, same thing with the zucchini. Having to pay 80 bucks a head... it's not worth the money in my opinion. It wasn't just me either. The 4 people that went with me felt the same way.

So they have a daily 4 course menu and then you can add the day's "extra" or a few upgrades. For example, during our visit, the menu featured a roasted beet and potato salad, main dish of BBQ tri-tip with jalapeno corn muffins, cheesy grits, and asparagus, then a cheese board, and pineapple upside down cake. The menu was $62 for all those courses. For $25, you could add the extra which was lobster roll with fries. The other optional upgrades were caviar, seared foie gras, or truffle fries. Service was fast, attentive, and carried out by multiple servers always passing by. The breads were from Thomas Keller's bakery, Bouchon, located just down the road.

Ad Hoc was a very pleasant experience. My wife and I just capped off our anniversary with a dinner there. I was very impressed by the warm and welcoming decor, giving the feeling of a French chateau. The service was excellent. The menu changes daily with 4 courses not including the additional dishes at additional cost. The Lobster mac and cheese was well balanced, with lumpy chunks of lobster and creamy mac with a crispy crust! We will definitely be heading back. I hear the fried chicken is the star of the show.
