10/10. I come from Australia and the standard of coffee is extremely high. So when I stumbled on this absolute treasure while in Ventura I was completely overjoyed!!! The cold brew is exceptional and the shots are pure and flavourful. I am aghast yo have found such a good coffee on such a day! Well played Prospect, well played! If I lived in Ventura or around, this place would be a main joint I’d hit up!!! I am very satisfied. 😎😎😎

Seems like a very popular place. Lattes were good, wish they had flavors as a stable but was pleased with the seasonal menu. Cute place. The floor did mess with my eyes and got me a little dizzy 😵 Seating available inside and outside.

Prospect coffee sources the best South American full flavored coffee I’ve ever had. I’ve been drinking their coffee for many years, and I still have it delivered on subscription now that I live in another state. If you like pour over pure coffee, this is the spot.

Why do I keep psyching myself out with this place? I showed up there during a quiet time of the day and apparently the person behind the counter thought that her conversation with the barista was way more importent than engaging with the customer.
She even said she was bored too! Hmm….
The funny thing is that I wasn’t even saying anything creepy. This person had way more importent things to do… like talk about how ‘eventful’ her world is with her workmate. What an interesting observation… you would think customer engagement would be more important? That’s important in businesses!
The music selection was awful…..
Who on earth would I keep giving this place a chance if I keep experiencing attitude, dismissal and a vibe that is rather I inviting…
I mean.. even LA has way friendlier coffeeshops than this place.
It does matter how gorgeous a place is. If the staff is rude and uninterested in retaining customers, then they will lose customers.
It doesn’t take much to for me to show my loyalty and respect for local establishments.
Seriously you guys… get it together….

Absolutely love this place! Been through Ventura twice this summer, stopped here the first time and just loved it! Had to go back on our next trip. Coffee is top notch quality, very smooth and rich, it's absolutely the most perfect blend for me. The last time I splurged on a croissant (I'm not suppose to eat wheat....) It was absolutely delicious, one of the best and most perfect croissants I've had, totally worth the pain, lol. My kids think their hot chocolate is the absolute best.

For the last 2 months I have been meaning to visit Prospect Coffee. Well today It was that day. Very nice place with good wifi & outlets. Got a mocha, it was ok but for over $6 and in a little 12 oz cup, gotta pass on future visits. ✌️

Matcha's & Coffee are great...however the service of one of the female staff (the one with the short haircut, bangs, glasses & who wears the neon earrings) was despicable today.
I watched today as she declined a 75 year old man service for not wearing a mask, he left outraged as she berated him & eventually threatened to call the police on him. This elderly gentleman came back with a mask a few minutes later (I would not give them my money after an experience like that) where she then proceeded to decline him service due to the previous interaction.
If I was the owner, I would have a ZERO tolerance policy for any of my staff to treat paying customers like that, nonetheless elderly customers.
I watched her decline MULTIPLE paying customers today & go on this power trip of mask enforcement. I understand there is a mandate, but that is not an excuse to be impolite, especially to our elderly population, nonetheless ANY paying customer.
I've been here with my business partner doing laptop work LITERALLY everyday for 3-4 hours/day for the past 6 days in a row, gladly spending at least $100+ here in a week alone, because the environment is usually great to work in, but after today I will seldom, if ever come back.
The rest of the staff is polite & friendly, this woman, unfortuantely ruined the experience not only for me, but for multiple other customers both paying & those who would've been paying customers had she not decided to kick them out due to her lack of customer care, manners & ego trip.
I would like to see the staff to all be trained to have better customer service, respect for EVERY paying customer that walks in & to not berate or discriminate people for wearing a mask. There are some people who have medical conditions that inhibit them from wearing a mask, and others who have simply forgot to put one on... that does not justify belittlement, threats, refusal of service or general disrespect towards them.
