The Red Hut Waffle Shop

We went to the original location. As advertised it was an old diner. Not much parking and lots of traffic. Good selection but the food was nothing spectacular for the price. Good but not special.

So this place was kind of a dive but still worth the 30 minute wait! There were only kids running it and honestly they were doing a fantastic job!! Nobody had tried the peanut butter burger but our server said "everyone who orders it usually finishes it" so we got it based on that and we were NOT disappointed!!😜 it tasted fine and our pecan waffle was excellent!! Definitely will be back next time we're in town!!!

First as you walk in, you are greeted with a smile and the attitude of they were all just waiting for you. I ordered my chicken fried steak over medium eggs and hash browns, the server asked what kind of toast, yay you can get bagels with cream cheese asiago bagels yum. I received my food, could cut my steak with my fork, my eggs cooked to protection, by the way over medium is one of the hardest egg to get just right, and the hash browns crunchy around the edges but soft and buttery inside. My new favorite breakfast place, oh and you can also buy reasonably priced souvenirs. I love south Lake Tahoe and I love the little red and white breakfast house, Red Hut. Well worth every cent.

Fast friendly service. Good fruit on the waffle. Good big pancakes.

Small restaurant, yet there is both table seating and counter seating on stools, which was pretty cool. The menu selection was really good, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner selections available. The service was provided by 5 very busy guys, who worked very well together and looked after your every need, and were quite friendly. We enjoyed our meals, and certainly would go back again on our next trip to Tahoe.

Small, local, with character. made our bellies happy, and souls warm.

We come here for the food but the service is great so that is a plus! I have yet to be disappointed!

Eggs chicken apple hashbrowns and toast was yummy!!!!

Best breakfast experience in a long time! Everyone was incredibly polite and super friendly. Everything we ordered was delicious.

Food was ok. A little expensive $40 plus tip for two people and we got basic two egg and bacon meals.

At least it was a good meal before a hike
