The Red Hut Waffle Shop

The best in Tahoe. Original location on 50. Great food, great atmosphere, great coffee & hot chocolate. What more can you ask for? Well, lower costs. Their prices have soared and that puts a damper on what you get.

This place used to serve good food... Don't know what happened? Ordered Chicken Fried Steak. It was eatable but the gravy lacked flavor, the hash browns were barely cooked and the over medium eggs I order were runny! Yuck!!! The toast was Good though! Lol

Staff was super nice! But the food was pretty bland and underwhelming. Hash browns were very undercooked.

I will drive past 2 Red Huts to eat at this one! Just seems to have more charm! Staff is always fun, great greasy spoon food. Very accommodating to specific dietary requests as well. Our favorite breakfast spot!

We were in Tahoe for a family girls weekend. We chose the Red Hut for breakfast. It was very cozy inside and a little hard for a disable guest, but we made it inside. After waiting in line for a table, we were seated at a table for 4. We ordered and our food came out quickly for the amount of people in the restaurant. The food was delicious! We all left full and happy. Wish I had taken pics of the food. Large plates, just about enough to share.

Awesome flavor for reasonable prices. I never had bacon inside a waffle before I decided to try it and it was really good! Michael (if I remember his name correctly) was my server and he accommodated every request and never stopped smiling. Highly recommended.

Really good food. Service is very friendly. Hightly recommended.
Just one suggestion NEVER sit next to the red door going to the patio. It got slam so high that the frames on the wall felt down. 😱 it was so crazy annoying

Delightful. Love old hole-in-wall establishments that have proved themselves to be hot spots for great food. It's a small place obviously loved by locals. Serve breakfast and lunch. Had the bacon waffle. Yum! Good coffee. Excellent service. Just a warm comfy way to start day.

Wonderful food, great service and real traditional diner ambience. This is our go to breakfast spot in Tahoe. Highly recommend!!
