Driftwood Cafe

Probably one of the best breakfast places I've been to here in South Lake Tahoe throughout the years... even through the COVID-19 pandemic. Everything I've tried thus far has been really yummy. My favorite is the classic breakfast - pancakes, bacon, and eggs. Super yummy.

We took breakfast takeout. A Huevos Del Driftwood, a breakfast burrito, Ugly fries, and french roast. Except for the breakfast burrito, everything else was just a mix of a lot of things without any taste to any of them. How could a french toast go wrong? Probably the worst french toast I ever had. I should call the rest of the dishes a SALAD of things because it was just things mixed or piled together which had no taste at all. I don't think I will give it another chance since I can get better food than this at an IHOP of all the places.

Came to Tahoe for a “day-cation” and was recommended by a local to try Driftwood. First of all!!.. it’s literally on a street named Heavenly! What a perfect spot!
Even though there were a lot of people, they were able to sit us within a few minutes. Much needed coffees and drinks were given asap & our waiter was so patient and helpful by telling us about popular dishes, the daily specials, & her personal recommendations.
How do you silence a table full of talkative girls? By giving them great food! Lol we literally just started eating and nodding in amazement. I even did a good food dance (shoulder shimmies & all). The only times we talked were for passing condiments around and constantly thanking our waiter. All of us enjoyed every single thing.
I am definitely coming back!

Friendly staff! Food was delicious! The Eggs Bendedict is perfect, and the sauce is the best I've had so far. Steak and eggs were cooked to perfection (med/well). We will definitely be back and now we know where to go for breakfast.

We were told that the wait at some point is very long but we were seating right away at around noon. The food was absolutely amazing! The fish tacos were great but the daily special was stuffed French toast and was cooked to perfection! Can't wait to go here again and try something new!

When we arrive they offered the menu and ask me if we where eating on the side walk ,we decided yes ,they bring us water right away ,Patrick " GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE " .

Had a great breakfast here! The staff were great and they even let us bring in our Starbucks even tho the sine on the door said no outside food or drinks. The manager saw us waiting outside finishing our coffee and came and got us, thank you for the hospitality!

This is the best place for breakfast in South Lake Tahoe. They have amazing breakfast selections, including chicken apple sausage and turkey burger options. The portion sizes are great and pricing is good. My blueberries on my Belgian waffles were so plump and delicious. The service was excellent. Everyone was smiling and helpful.

Ate here for lunch. The staff is excellent and very friendly. Huge menu with lots of choices for everyone including a full breakfast and lunch. Club was very good. Egg sandwich on an English muffin was even better. They only do breakfast and lunch and close at 3pm.
